Summary: Might not be worth the price premium
Review: SmartMedia is sold under several brands. Olympus branded SmartMedia allows you to take "panorama" shots. Essentially, you take multiple shots while making sure to overlap edges. You then reassemble these multiple shots using the "Camedia" software that came with your Olympus camera. The difference is that when an Olympus brand SmartMedia card is used, your digital camera keeps exposure settings constant across these multiple shots; which makes for a consistent panorama when you reassemble the individual shots via your computer. This is a nice feature, but not a feature most of us use often; for example, on a recent two week trip, I took 220 shots of which only 12 were panorama. If you are going to purchase multiple SmartMedia cards, you might be able to do with just one or two Olympus brand cards - especially since they cost more than other brands. I use two other brand SmartMedia cards, and save my Olympus brand cards for when panorama shots present (since you can switch the cards out at anytime - unlike traditional camera film). Also to realistically determine what the price premium is, check prices for Olympus and other brand SmartMedia not only here, but also at other popular commercial sites.

Summary: The Card DOES Allow You to Pick High Quality
Review: Some one wrote a review that said you can't pick the high picture quality option when using this particular 64 meg card.... He was wrong..... it works on my c-3030... don't let him stop you from getting a great product. He is misinformed.

Review: Theres not much to say about this card. It gets the job done and I have never had a problem with it. There is a small price premium over cards from other manufacturers, but I do think the panorama feature is worth the few extra dollars. If you have a digital camera and are still using the 4mb or 8mb smartmedia card that came with it, you should definatly upgrade to 64mb.

Review: With both a Olympus 64MB card and now a SanDisk 128MB card there's no fear of ever running out of media space even when traveling. The 64MB will handle 128 HQ shots (high def.), 665 SQ shots (standard def.) on my Olympus D-490 Zoom (2.1 Megapixel). The SanDisk 128MB Smart Media card twice as many. SHQ (Super-high quality) slows things down a bit.
The Olympus card started acting up a week ago: It would only hold 23 standard shots. Two calls to Tech support did not reveal a high degree of service and I learned they do not warrant the card. Fortunately reformating fixed the problem.
