Rating: Summary: Good price but poor egonomics Review: I have to agree with the first review that the buttons are not well designed. They are a bit too small. And the radio reception is not really good. Still, the price is very attractive, but just don't pay too much attention to the 60+% discount...Amazon.com does offer the best price I have found so far.
Rating: Summary: Great unit - just one annoying thing Review: I really like the features, sound, headphones, price. But based on the enclosed expired accessory offer, I conclude that it has been in the warehouse for going on 2 years, which led to my problem - the "fake display" sticker on the display was old and left all of its adhesive on the plastic making the display unreadable. Fortunately I was able to clean it off with pure mineral spirits without damage. Otherwise it's a great unit.
Rating: Summary: Not my favorite walkman, stay clear of this one Review: If you buy a walkman, make sure you don't buy this one, I bought it a year ago, and I never liked it. The buttons are too small, not smooth to press, when you press play, you gotta wait a couple of seconds, and I dont need 15 FM stations.
Rating: Summary: Great unit - just one annoying thing Review: This is a state of the art player/radio with all electronic switching to engage tape and radio functions. It is compact and offers excellent quality. The remote is very functional and enables the player to be carried in a secure unexposed place while using the unit. I recommend it very highly. I am a bicycle commuter and I can keep this unit weather proofed in my pack, while working the remote. The only qualification for people who may use this player while on the go is that earphones might be more convenient and less obstrusive, i.e. not interferring with helmet straps, et al.One reviewer complained about small buttons on the player, but I don't think this is a factor, because the unit switches electronically, not manually, and the buttons are sufficiently separated for convenient use.

Rating: Summary: Not Excellent but Above Average Review: This is definetly a good player to purchase compared to others. I'm gonna write as much as a can about each feature so the buyers will know what theyre gonna be buying... 20 Preset Stations: I didnt find the 15 fm and 5am presets very useful since I usually use only about 5max but that was fine.. at least I will always have the option. Headphones/Remote Control: The item came with a remote control not pictured in the item but its good. You can keep the walkman in your pocket or use the belt clip on the walkman or however you store it and just use the remote control since it has most of the basic functions. And the Headphones were okay and were good thinking that it came with a $40 player but I already had a great pair of headphones so this wasnt a real factor for me. Buttons: The buttons were small but you virtually just need to push them with a small nudge so the buttons were good. Digital LCD: had all the things yuo needed to know like the time or how much battery there is left. Display was great. Battery: I use the walkman everyday when I go jog and they lasted for me for about 1-2 weeks. Thats a plus for me. Overall I think its a good player. Its an excellent buy, I could have done a lot worst.
Rating: Summary: Excellent value for the money! Review: This little Walkman is great. The features abound for its size and the remote control is great. You can keep your Walkman zipped up somewhere and work virtually all of its controls. The 2 types of bass boost, normal/CrO2 switch, playback modes and 20 presets just add to the value! It does take a second or two to start play/rew/ff, but remember these are electronic softouch controls which ensure proper playback pressure. The sound is great and the LCD, although small, is visible in any light source. Some of the buttons are small too, but again, remember the size of this unit. Overall, at this price, and even for $30 or $40 more, this Walkman is excellent. I highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys great sound from a small player. The radio reception was excellent too! Buy it!

Rating: Summary: One of the Sony's best Walkman! Review: This Sony WMFX487 is a great choice of music fans like me. This is being sold very cheap as many of you might not have realized (69% off). I bought it a year ago at double the price now. I was crazy about it. It has a remote control, so you can keep the device in your pocket and control it from outside. It has feather touch buttons, which mean that u dont need to press it hard. It has alot of sound types like Groove, Mega Bass, Metal Cr02, Dolby NR, ALVS. Even many of the compact stereo systems sold today doen't have these types. It has Auto Reverse,Anti Rolling system, Hold button on it and a separate one for remote so it dosen't turn on in your pocket and waste your battery. It has 20 presets, 15 for FM and 5 for AM. The radio is completely digital. After you have stored some presets you can change the battery without erasing it(only within 30-60 second). This one has a belt clip so don't worry about that. It plays from the begining of the casette automatically. I has a full LCD Display and it also indicates amount of battery left. It's a bit compact than many other walkmans and has a nice silver finish. There are only two disadvantages that i found. One is that It takes 3-4 seconds to play and if you want to rewind it, then it takes 3-6 seconds to start rewinding. I think that is a also a problem in all other remote control Walkmans. Second one is that it has an average Battery Stamina. 24HRs Casette playing and 48Hrs of radio. You can even find this much in many older models of Sony.
