Rating: Summary: Hiker's comments Review: Here in Colorado in an urban area, I find the antenna leaves something to be desired. When listening to am, I find that I often have to hold the radio in my hand to bring in the weaker stations. It is necessary to orient it to bring in a decent signal. A nuisance.---After a few days of using, I finally got used to the controls which are somewhat different then competitive models. The sound quality is excellent. The controls on the headband are very useful. I hike a lot usually one to two hours per day so I believe that I have given it a good test. I should add that the cassette player is excellent. Except for the antenna problem I am well pleased with the Brain Shaker.
Rating: Summary: The best portable tape player i had Review: I got this Panasonic player back in April of 2000. Up to today I hadn't have any problems. I dropped more than 100 times already and still work perfectly. One of the beauty of this player is the battery life with one AA it can play up to 28 hours. INCREIBLE BUT TRUE. If u want a player to last u a few years I recommend u to buy this one.
Rating: Summary: I miss my Sony Review: I ordered this - I liked the color - and was interested in the size and headphones featured. I'm very pleased with the size, convenience - and features on the device. I didn't like the headphones though - they really do hurt your ears - not a good fit. I switched headphones to a standard pair - and I'm enjoying the system. However, the headphones are supposed to be part of the allure - go ahead, try them out. I think the design needs to be reconfigured so that they fit the ear more comfortably. I'm still glad I have the system - even though I'm not using the featured headphones.

Rating: Summary: THE TOTAL PACKAGE Review: I was in the market for the best overall portable system in terms of features, sound quality, reliability, durability, ease-of-use, and price. If you are in the same market, then stop looking and buy this portable.
Rating: Summary: Best Walkman ever Review: if you want to enjoy your music while feeling the bass in your neck .... This walkman is super! I checked it out and I never want another walkman anymore, I love it
Rating: Summary: the BEST you can get!!! Review: if you're looking for great sound AND a pounding base line, this is what you want--the brainshaker headphones actually produces a low toned vibration in perfect syncronization with the music to make the first subwoofered headset! to add to this, the casette reader and radio work flawlessly, never skipping or even start to even if violently shaked. and finally, just look at it! if you don't think this is the best, most futuristic, look at what i got, casette player there is....you got a problem. you won't be wasting your money on THIS unit. take my word for it.
Rating: Summary: good but not great Review: Its a good piece but with some reservations. First it doesnt have belt clip. Second the head phone is not comfortable. If you plan to keep your headphone on for longer time, either get another headphone with the piece or look for another walkman. Sound quality is good. Metal body is advantage in terms of sturdiness. compact design and silver colour make it great in appearance. Runs on single bettery, another appealing feature. But I really doubt the utility of VMSS(you feel vibration in your ears and head according to music you are listening). Its not the feature for which you should be buying the unit. Otherwise great listning.
Rating: Summary: Not good for sports Review: Not easy to hold. The remote control add no value.
Rating: Summary: Not good for sports Review: The critical feature of this product is the remote control, which is located on the headset itself. I listen to a lot of books-on-tape and need to access the rewind, on-off, and volume control frequently. And I usually listen while riding my bike, working out, or doing some mondane task. In-cord remotes are always flopping around and can't really be operated blind. But the remote on this product is a dream. The sound is fine. The earpiece feels uncomfortable at first, but you adjust to it and won't notice later. The single battery requirement is nice, too. But buy it for the remote.
