Summary: Works flawlessly
Review: This is the second Sandisk memory card reader I've bought. (The first one was a 6-in-1 reader.) Both have worked flawlessly. Since my computer runs Windows XP, there were no drivers to install, and the computer recognized the reader instantly.

The USB 2.0 interface is a great feature, as it is much quicker than older USB 1.0 devices. I have a 512MB Compactflash card, and transfer times are very fast. In comparison, a USB 1.0 keychain flash drive I purchased is much slower.

The only minor gripe I have is that installing the reader puts four "removable drive" icons in your My Computer folder. The only way to tell which drive has the memory card in it is by clicking on each icon. Annoying until you memorize which drive corresponds to Compactflash, SD, etc.

Summary: All in one and Super Fast
Review: This multi card reader is an awesome deal. The best part about this reader is the speed. I upload a 512mb Sony Memory Stick in LESS then 2 minutes. You could never do that with the older memory stick readers. With XP, the system recognized the device immediately. Had no problem and installed it in less then 5 mintues. You can get right to work with this product. Super deal and super product. SanDisk has come a long way for the better. Highly recommended.

Summary: Everything you could want
Review: This read works wondefully. First off, don't underestimate the importance of a USB 2.0 connection. That alone makes it about 40 times faster than USB 1.0 and 1.1 card readers.

I have a Samsung SPH-i600 that I transfer mp3s and mpgs to. Before it would take about 30 seconds to transfer a single 4MB song. Now I can transfer about fifteen 4MB songs in 30 seconds. It makes a world of difference.

Also, it is very easy to setup if you have Windows XP. All you do is literally plug it in, wait about 30 seconds for the drivers to automatically install, and then you are done.

I couldn't ask for anything more.

Summary: Great, but problematic install
Review: While installing on WinME, my comp didn't have three necessary files, so it got quite messed up when I tried to continue without the files. It went into safemode and I couldn't for the life of me get out of it. Ended up having to restore system settings to a previous time and downloading each file from the web before installing it again. Worked well after that, except it took over some drive designations, so I had to figure out which letter went to which device. Each of the four slots in the reader has its own drive letter, which is handy, although creates more clutter on the desktop (especially when you have drives from C to O like me).

I use compactflash, SD, and memorysticks, so this device takes away a lot of cords and creates a great all in one station. Now I won't have to use up the battery in any of my gadgets to download or upload files. It can also be undocked from the cradle to be taken around with your laptop. It's fast, has a small footprint, and has decent aesthetics.

Overall a good buy. If I didn't have the install problems I'd give it 4 or 5 stars.

Summary: Elegant and highly useful product
Review: You really can't go wrong with this reader. There are no other readers on the market that can compete with its capabilities, its quality and its price.
I have had it for a year and I use it at home, at work or when I am traveling.

What I like:
1- Portable light sturdy construction. I use it to move large files of data on a CF memory without carrying a laptop.
2- Fast data transfer with USB 2.0 connection.
3- Easy to install. Plug and play with Windows 2000 or XP (I have not tried other operating systems)
4- Stands vertically or horizontally. I was afraid it might not be stable when standing vertically, I was proven wrong. It is very stable even when you are installing/removing memory cartridges; non-slip rubber is used to prevent sliding.
5- Reads 8 different memory media. I can use my camera's CF memory, my other camera's memory stick and my Palm's SD memory all with the same device.
7- Elegant black and silver design that looks great on any desk.
8- Each slot has its own LED (small light) which indicates that the memory media has been inserted properly.

The only drawback:
1- It comes with 2 cables, one for the vertical position and one for the horizontal position. The cable for the horizontal position is really short.
