Summary: A good workhorse for the digital camera buff
Review: The Viking 128 MB Compactflash card is a true workhorse. Though not as fast as the new ultra cards (which I also own) this card nonetheless stores images with reasonable speed and retrieves them for storage on my computer with virtually no degradation in resolution of quality that I can see. Just how long this card will last me is anyone's guess, but I am going to take it on a trip to Australia next month so we'll see how well it does down there. As it is, I have taken at least 500 pictures on it so far and have no complaints. For reference, I am using a Minolta DiMAGE S-414 digital camera with 4MP resolution.

Summary: It does the job
Review: What can be said about a memory card. It works very well, this is my third, the oldest one is almost 3 years and working with no problems. An added bonus is it comes in a little plactic box which makes it safer for storage in the camera bag. The rabate makes it very inexpensive too!

I also have the Viking card reader for a laptop, was only $9 and makes transfering pictures to computer no effort at all!

Summary: Rebate Hoax
Review: This was my first Amazon order. I stumbled around looking for the best price on this item from a vendor that I assumed would bother to send the product after I had furnished plenty of information to them. ... I am not a big believer in rebates to begin with. To me they are almost always an excuse to bait and switch the consumer into paying more. Despite the fact that the rebate is ongoing and that I would qualify if I was able to jump through the hoops properly there was little simpathy on the part of the Manufacturer (Viking) to support its rebate policy. I only hope that the product does not also suffer from this lack of committment to the consumer.

Summary: Technical question
Review: I notice that one of the cameras I am considering requires a CompactFlash Type I and the other requries a CompactFlash Type II. Which one is this product? I don;t see this information anywhere in the "Technical Data." What is the difference?

Summary: extremely unsatisfied
Review: I purchased this product for use with my digital camera. It broke the first time that I used it, and lost all of the photographs on the card. I could not access any of the files (they were corrupt). The company offered to replace this card, as they said it appeared to be defective. I returned the card to the company and 2 months later had not received a replacement. In calling the company, they deny receipt of my flash card and refuse to compensate me in any way. True, it could be lost in the mail, but now I have neither the defective product they sold to me or a replacement! If you do business with this company please make sure that you use certified mail to track shipment, as they will place the fault on you for not receiving a product and will not compensate you for loss of a product that was defective in the first place! BEWARE...THE BUYER IS NEVER RIGHT WITH THIS COMPANY!!

Summary: Price value NOT enough
Review: A few months ago I purchased 2 Viking CF128M memory cards for my new Canon S45, so I could have a spare card at all times. The price was very good and they seemed to be working fine.
Today, one of the cards died (CF ERROR) after about 80 pictures, causing me to loose shots I had taken for my photography class (among others). I thought my camera was not working but I verified it was the card. I was very surprised and frustrated to find out that this situation is NOT that uncommon. How can we embrace digital photography if at any moment the storage device will fail and we can loose ALL pictures residing in the memory card?
I am now afraid to take serious shots with my digital camera!
I would like to know if this is a problem with all CF cards in the market?
I'll have to see how responsive Viking will be to my complaint.

Summary: excellent CF card for my canon s300

Summary: Nothing but Awesome
Review: I bought A CF card for my digital camera and I cannot be happier. I've never had any problems with it. My sister bought a card from another company other than viking and a whole bunch of errors showed up when she went to view her pictures. I've probably taken over 2000 pictures already and I still get wonderful quality. I couldn't ask for more
