Summary: Memeory corruption due to the card, not the camera
Review: I am using a this card with a brand new Canon S400. Every 1 out of ~6 pictures will be corrupted. My friend has the same card and the same camera as mine but has no problems at all. Therefore I think the card is defective and I will be replacing it by calling Viking.

Review: I have used this card in my Ipaq 2215 and have no problem at all so far. I put 2 movies (about 400 MB) in this card and those movies play fine. Highly recommended.

Summary: Card Speed Versus Camera write Speed
Review: I have the canon s45 and this card has worked great with it for the past year. People have to really pay attention the the tech specs of the cameras that they buy, all write speeds are NOT the same for ALL cameras. The size and type of file you shoot can greatly affect the write speed also. Dpreview.com lists hundreds of camera reviews and specs, more than you ever wanted to know about digital cameras. Go there BEFORE you buy, be an INFORMED CONSUMER !!! I see so many complaints about CF cards that have to do with assumptions and not facts. amen.

Summary: Big and slow
Review: I bought this card a couple of years ago for my Canon Powershot S100 because I was tired of running out of memory when taking baby pictures. I have no complaints about the size or quality: I can now store LOTS of pictures, and have never had any pictures lost or corrupted.BUT, it's really slow storing images, and when you're shooting fast-moving toddlers, that can cause you to miss some shots. So I'd say this card is great for scenery and posed pictures or work with babies or adults, but if you need to shoot multiple images relatively quickly, this probably won't do it for you.

Review: I've purchased this card as well as 2 /128 meg cards and 1 128 meg card, all from Viking. They worked every single time. I've never had any corruption or lost data. I've used them for the Canon G2, G3, G5 and the S400. No complaints from me!

Review: I tried several CF cards and this is the only one having writing errors. So far it has lost about 1% of the images, don't buy it if you cannot afford missing a shot.

Summary: Very slow!
Review: Compared to another Lexar 12x CF this card is very slow, at least with my G3. I just bought it for the rebate but I wouldn't buy another Vicking memory in the future. I also got some writing errors and according to other reviews it looks like it's not only bad luck. I give it 3 stars anyway because you always get what you pay for and for 84$ (after rebate) you can not expect much more than this!

Summary: My experiences have been very good with this product.
Review: I own two of these cards and have recommended these cards to all my friends who are using them without any complaints. Overall, I think I've helped Viking sell about 6 512MB cards. In any case, I've used these cards extensively in all sorts of applications and have put them through various torture tests and have had only one card that had a write error ONCE in my Canon G3. Not sure what caused this, but the photo did not get recorded and that's about it. No other problems from that one card. I frequent a Canon G3 nerd site and posted a quick survey of what other users thought of the Viking 512MB card and most people who frequent this board seemed to have a good opinion of these cards. Keep in mind, the people on this board are much more active and rough users of these cards than most Amazoners. ...
