Review: How many pictures will it store? It is the most commonly asked question from digital camera enthusiast but usually the question that is the most difficult to get a straight answer about. Well, considering I worked in the memory industry for over 7 years I can help clarify this perplexing question and do so unbiased as I have since changed industries.
The SanDisk SDWCFB-128-768 Wireless 802.11b & 128MB CF Card, like most 128MB cards, will store on average 142 pictures when used with a 2 megapixel camera, 106 images when used with a 3 megapixel camera, 64 pictures when used with a 4 megapixel camera, 51 images when used with a 5 megapixel camera, and 40 pictures when used with a 6 megapixel camera. These numbers are based off the assumption that you are going to shoot your images at the highest quality JPEG setting available for the camera and understand that they are estimates and may be off by as much as 10 percent due to numerous factors including the complexity of the scene being shot and the compression algorithm used by your specific camera.

Summary: San Disk works
Review: I have a Netgear wireless router (54g) and was able to hook the SanDisk Wifi (128 mb) in minutes. I have an Ipaq 3950 and used the IP daskboard utility from Hudson Technology. All I did was run the utility first, then entered the program (a mini disk accompanies the SanDisk Wifi) and inserted the CF card into the slot of the expansion pack. All of the necessary addresses were automatically entered (you have to insert the CF card and then remove it to reset the addresses .. I did this once and it now is working all the time.) I have been able to roam the apartment with the Ipaq exactly the way I could with my Notebook. The only reason I did not give the SanDisk 5 stars was that it sticks out a bit much. If you get the CF card, I suggest you also get the IP Dashboard...available at Handango.

Review: I purchased and use with HP iPaq h2215. Technical support or guidance in severly lacking, but once I had a computer-savvy person help get it operational, the wi-fi works well. It easily connects to my home network, and connected in a matter of seconds to wi fi network in local coffee shop. I have not had the chance to try out the memory capabilities.

Summary: I should have checked here first
Review: I purchased the card from Dell not knowing there was a problem with this card and the Axim. What the other two reviewers have said are true. This card and the Axim do not play well together. I could not format the CF memory, it could not recognize the Access point, and I noticed SanDisk's control panel app ran INCREDIBLY SLOW.Worst part...I couldn't get their software out of memory to remove their program from the Axim. I had to do a hard reset to remove it, which wiped out everything on the system. If you have a Dell and you're thinking you're going to kill 2 birds with 1 stone...stay away! Unless SanDisk figured out their problem, just say No to this card.

Summary: Not A Bad Product, But Has Some Flaws
Review: I received this memory/wifi card as a wedding gift last year so that I could use it with my Compaq iPAQ 3765. It installed properly on the iPAQ as well as my Toshiba laptop. I have never had a problem connecting to my Linksys WRT54G 802.11g/b router. The installation process itself was pretty straightforward and simple. Now, I did have a problem installing it onto my new HP iPAQ 2215, which I purchased a week ago. The PocketPC 2002 driver included with the card will not work with Windows Mobile 2003 for PocketPC. SanDisk does have the 2003 drivers on their website, but as someone mentioned, there is no user guide to aid you with the new driver. After trying several times to install the card, I had to perform a hard reset and installed the card before installing anything else and setting up my activesync partnership. The other thing I do not like about this card as someone mentioned, is that with Windows Mobile 2003, you cannot turn off the wi-fi part of the card and just access the flash memory. This will drain more battery power from my iPAQ than I would like. Hopefully, SanDisk will resolve this issue. Other than that,this wi-fi card has been working great for me. I actually just used it in New York City and was able to locate several access points at Chelsea Piers on the West Side and access the internet. Overall, a good product in my opinion with a couple of flaws.

Summary: It is an Axim problemn
Review: I use the card in my laptop and it connection is more reliable and stronger signal than my other cards or the crappy built in wifi in my toshiba laptop. I use it in my iPAQ just fine to move files between the laptop and iPAQ. but my wife's Axim X5 it doesn't work just like the other people say. I talked to Dell and SanDisk - finally found a guy at Dell who told me its a X5 issue they are working to fix. he told me the X5 as a first PDA from Dell has had a few SD problems and CF problems and they are fixing the thing. No one else makes anything like this that I have found I think the card is a killer product for me - just not for the Axim.

Summary: Does not play nice with Dell Axims
Review: If you are planning on using this Sandisk combo WiFi card with your Dell Axim X5, you may want to think twice or at least check out the problems people are having with it at forums.us.dell.com. While some people are having problems accessing the memory portion of the card (I was able to access the CF memory OK) the majority of forum posters, myself included, have not been able to get the WiFi portion to access their wireless network. Under the same circumstances, my Dell TrueMobile CF WiFi card worked fine. While Dell and Sandisk appear to be blaming each other for the problems (shades of the Sandisk/Axim SD memory fiasco), and with no definitive solution in sight, I suggest Axim buyers beware.
