Summary: How many pictures will it store?
Review: How many pictures will it store? It is the most commonly asked question from digital camera enthusiast but usually the question that is the most difficult to get a straight answer about. Well, considering I worked in the memory industry for over 7 years I can help clarify this perplexing question and do so unbiased as I have since changed industries.

The Lexar Media 64MB 4X CompactFlash Card, like most 64MB cards, will store on average 71 pictures when used with a 2 megapixel camera, 53 images when used with a 3 megapixel camera, 32 pictures when used with a 4 megapixel camera, 25 images when used with a 5 megapixel camera, and 20 pictures when used with a 6 megapixel camera. These numbers are based off the assumption that you are going to shoot your images at the highest quality JPEG setting available for the camera and understand that they are estimates and may be off by as much as 10 percent due to numerous factors including the complexity of the scene being shot and the compression algorithm used by your specific camera.

I truly hope this review was helpful to you in determining whether this card is the right capacity for your specific needs.

Summary: Works great
Review: I have a Lexar CompactFlash with the JumpShot cable and it works fantastic. Not once has it caused me any problems. Truly Plug-n-Play. I have an 8x card - and transfers are quite fast.

One of the other reviewers mentioned that the JumpShot cable would not work with any other card. This is not entirely true. The cable will work only with USB Enabled CompactFlash cards. Not all cards are USB enabled. Watch for "USB Enabled" and you'll be OK. In my humble opinion, the JumpShot cable is fast, easy to use, and takes up little space.

Summary: The Free Jumpshoot Cable makes it easy!
Review: I have the 48meg Lexar card and just love it. The best thing is the Jumpshoot cable which hooks to any computer with a USB port (hot-swappable). Instead of hooking your camera up to your computer, you can simply take the card out of your camera and insert it in the Jumpshot Cable's slot. Then, the CF card shows up on you computer as if it were a hard drive. You simply copy them to you own hard drive. In the meantime your camera can be in use or simply saving power. (Note: The Jumpshot Cable does come with some software so it will work on your computer-PC or Mac.)

(Note: the jumpshoot cable only works with USB enabled CF cards. I like the feature so much, I simply don't use my older cards that aren't usb enabled)

In addition, Lexar is know among pro photographers as one of the better quality manufacturer's. Great Quality and a Great Product.
