Summary: Love that Sony
Review: Is there anything nicer than having a single save format that works with all of my electronics? The answer is no. Take it from my camera directly to my computer or my Palm. The new handheld PlayStation will also use the Memory Stick format. I love that Sony. The only thing better than their Memory Sticks is the Memory Stick Pros!

Summary: Adds great convenience and extra storage
Review: My main use for this product is in a Sony Peg SJ30. Interestingly, 128 megs is the current limit for Sony memory stick technology, which is low compared to Compact Flash, which now go up to 1 gig of space. Those aren't cheap of course, being 2 or 3 times the price of most PDAs, but I'm sure the price will come down.

Anyway, that's a lot of RAM storage, and it's available if you need it. Smart Media cards, however, have even less, and are only up to 64 megs so far. The reason is that the controller is not located on the card, which is why they're smaller than Compact Flash. Really, since the Compact Flash is smaller than a paperback book of matches, I don't know why they bothered to make it that small, since I'd rather have the extra space, but oh well, I didn't make the engineering decision.

The nice thing about this extra storage for me is that the typical ebook which you can download free from several websites is only about 200-400k. That means you can store between 250 to 500 books on 128 megs of space. That's an entire library on your Palm PDA, which is pretty amazing when you think about it.

Most people will probably use this product in digital cameras, but the PDA use is what I need. I also wish there were read/write "drives" available for memory stick cards as there are for Compact Flash cards, which you can hook up to your computer to write to as well as read from, but the only thing available so far is a floppy-type adaptor, which, although it may work, probably has a very low data tranfser rate. Overall, however, this is a fine product, despite the proprietary Sony technology that limits its use to their products. The only reason I give it 4 stars is the Sony brand is a little more expensive than the SanDisk or Lexar products.

Summary: Excellent way to take non stop digital images.
Review: The 128 mb Sony Memory Stick is a must have for anyone who takes alot of digital photo's. I have a 2.1 pixel Sony Cyber Shot and I love it. The 128 mb stick allows me to continue to photograph without having to keep replacing the sticks. With my 2.1 pixel camera, I usually average about 140 to 150 pictures per 128 mb stick. The 64 usually yiels me about 74 pics. I definitely recommend you buy a few of these because you will spend more time creating then worrying about having to replace the disk and miss out on a good shot. I am going to get myself a few more of these. Especially now that the price is less then 1/2 the price they were originally.

Summary: A technological wonder!!!
Review: These little sticks are great! I have an NW-MS9 Network Walkman player and these things work great with that! I can store up to 3 hours of music on my player with this little thing and transfer music to my PC in a snap! Sony in the future will be coming out with the 256MB, 512MB, and then, the 1GB one, all by 2003! They are however on the expensive side, but these things are really great none the less! So small and compact! AND so versatile! These MagicGate Memory Sticks are wonderful! Hope this review was of help to you!

Summary: BUYER BEWARE
Review: This is not the magic gate--the color of the picture is too light. The actual product is bluer---so I confused this with the MagicGate which is lighter--more a cream color. I could not tell from this picture so I ordered wrong product and got stuck with it!

Summary: The best memory stick`
Review: This is the best memory stick.. The Lexar is great also but if there is only a few dollars difference I would defiantly go with the Sony..

Summary: Sony Memory Stick...
Review: This sticks are awesome, especially now that Sony has dropped the prices inline with Compact Flash chips. Prior to that, they may not have been worth it. I'm waiting for the prices to be reflected at Amazon, so that I can get more. Also waiting for the 256 Meg chip too!! Easy, simple to use, and stores a bundle. You can also interchange them with all your Sony products.
