Summary: Unreliable, not recommended for sensitive material
Review: I purchased this compactflash card due to the low price of the rebate. I quickly found that it was very "glitchy" when it came to data. I had frequent errors formatting the card and transferring pictures were a pain as I found that they corrupt in many instances. I refuse to use this card in my elph for fear of losing irreplaceable images. I only use it for mp3's in my ipaq. I was warned prior to my purchase as many pda users had found sandisk to be.. "less than reliable." It has become a dedicated mp3 card due to this.

Summary: Loads more photos with this baby!
Review: I recently bought a Canon S40 camera which I love..I also purchased this Sandisk 256MB card to go along wiht it..I have taken as many as 264 pictures( think you can get as many as 500 on it) at 2272X1704 resolution(highest resolution for this camera) and it still was going..I believe you can only get about 30 with the card that comes stock with the camera..If your not to much into the high resolution you can get about 1500 pictures at 640X480 I think...Thats a huge benefit if your traveling and cant download onto a computer for a while. Did a week at Disneyworld with the kids and captured the whole thing on one card...SWEET!!

Summary: I trust this one.
Review: I was seduced by the low price and promises of faster speed from Simpletech, but my fancy new Simpletech card went crazy within 10 minutes. I have a Canon S230. My SanDisk 256MB has never given me one problem in a year of heavy use. I won't stray again. Why take a chance with your precious photos? I will be returning the Simpletech and buying another SanDisk this weekend.

Summary: beautiful with my Canon S200 Elph
Review: I've had this card for approximately 9 months now and am very satisfied and wouldnt hesitate to purchase another one.

I bought this card for my Canon S200 Elph, which is a 2 mega pixel camera and love this card. On my camera's highest settings (each image roughly 300-500k) I can shoot approximately 500-600 images.

I have a Viking 128mb card as a back up if I run out of room (rarely do I need it) In Nine months I have NOT had ANY fatal errors with this card being bad. Which is amazing as I have shot approximately 9K images. and normally shoot until this card is full, or close to it.

I have shot with this card in Chicago winters and Chicago summers, which, if you know Chicago, is a good testament to its durability.

The Sandisk 256 is a nice roomy dependable 256 card, I highly recommend. Cheers.

Summary: Works great with my Canon S400
Review: I've taken about 300+ pictures with this card in my Canon S400 and I have absolutely no complaints. It can hold about 246 pictures at the finest quality and 1600x1200 resolution, which is more than most people would need. The picture transfer time is not bad at all -- about the same as the card the camera came with (which is also made by Sandisk). Since the Canon came with a SanDisk card, I would say going with the same brand would be your best bet.

Summary: Quality Card. Period.
Review: My Canon S410 came with a tiny stock card and I soon found the need to upgrade. This is a 4 MP camera and I set it on medium size and quality and can fit about 400 pictures on one card.
(My wife however actually finds a way to fill the whole thing in a day!) It has great compatiblity, size and dependability. As it fits in the canon, into the card reader built into my PC and has never never corrupted. The only regret I have is that I spent $40 on it at a local "Costco's" and now it's $25 at amazon.

Summary: Best of the Best
Review: SanDisk is one of those companies that has never failed me. In my line of work, I sometimes put my camera and media cards to the test. Every SanDisk card I have ever used has been able to keep up with the demands I've place on them. They are some of the best products I have ever purchased, unlike a PNY card that broke after only one use! Regardless of what format you need, I highly recommend this and other SanDisk products.

Summary: Repeat purchase should say it all!
Review: SanDisk is the developer of this product and it is the standard for the industry. That should be endorsement enough for nearly everyone. But maybe the holdout doubters will be convinced by the fact that this "doubting Thomas" (and engineer) is sufficiently conviced of the superiority of this product to have purchased three (one 64 MB and two 256 MB) before this latest one.

Summary: Ok, next time I'm buying a faster card
Review: The Sandisk 256Mb Cf card really delivers 244MB after formatting it in my Canon A80 camera. But this happens to many CF cards, you have to accept that.
I chose a 256MB card since the Canon takes up about 2MB PER Picture on best quality and size settings ( total about 120 odd-pics). Lower quality( picture compression) or pic size gives me much more images. I can record about 700 odd seconds of video on the card @ 320*240 15fps settings. I definitely recommend this card size as one if you plan to buy a 3MP+ camera. Since the price difference is reducing every day, it makes more sense to opt of a 256Mb instead of a 128MB card. FOr 5MP and above, however, a 512MB+ card may be better suited.

The card is very reliable. I've been using it for 3 months+ and have taken 500+ photos on it. However, the speed at which the card writes the image is a bit too slow for my liking ( or maybe its the camera?). Next time i'm going in for a faster card , maybe from the Sandisk ULTRA II series....
