Summary: Excellent card
Review: I have been using this card for almost one year and have not had any problems with it. The chinsey 16mb card that came with my olympus C-3030 camera broke, however. I do not know how this happened, since I always take good care of it. I would reccomend any quality card like this, and a large card can make your picture taking a lot more fun. It is a pain to run out of picture space when you are in the field and do not have a access to a computer.

Review: I used the 64 MB SmartMedia Card by Viking on our trip to Europe this past September and was very much impressed with the quality of the pictures I had printed. This is an excellent item for a great price. The Olympus equivalent costs at least $40 to $50 more! This is a great deal.

Summary: Thank god this card is out there!
Review: I tried (and reviewed) the memory card that Palm puts out for its Palm m500 & m505. This card FAR surpassed it. I am so glad that I tried it. I have not had a single problem with this item. It installed easily and it has run EVERY kind of application that I have put on it, even ones that are in multiple files. This is in stark contrast to the memory cards sold by Palm. Also this one is much less expensive by the MB compared to other flash cards I have seen.I heartily recommend this card to anyone who has a Palm m500 or m505.

Summary: Max Mem, Min Price
Review: I needed a memory card for my Rio 500. After searching around I found the VIking 64MB smart media card. Its great. Its 64MB and its smart. It went out and passed my finals while I overslept. Just kidding. But seriously, it works so great! I don't know how I lived with the puny 64MB that the Rio came with. This memory card is just so absolutely awesome that I went and bought another one two weeks later so now I can carry a ton of tunes and a bunch of audiobooks from Audible.

Summary: Viking and Olympus Digital
Review: The Viking 64MB SmartMedia card works flawlessly in my Olympus C3030 digital camera. True, it cannot process panoramas like the Olympus brand card, but that's why I keep the original 16MB card that came with the camera. This is altogether a great piece of equipment at a very good price, and I recommend it highly.

Summary: This is what you need for your Rio 500.
Review: I bought one of these cards to double my Rio 500 song capacity. With the new firmware posted by Rio at their site (which allows Rio 500 units to accept 64 MB SmartMedia cards), it worked perfectly. I had to format the card a few times (like 5!) before it accepted songs. However, I was using the utilities included in the MusicMatch Jukebox, so it may have been a defect on the software rather than the hardware. The card itself comes with an individual clear-plastic case, and once formatted, worked (and keeps working) without a hitch . I think this is a fantastic product and the price is the lowest one around (even at auctions, it is extremely hard to find a price this low. Believe me, I tried)

Summary: Not Reliable
Review: I purchased two of these prior to a two week trip to Europe. I tested them prior to my trip on my Olympus D450z camera, and they worked find before and during the trip. However after returning home one of the cards had failed. I even sent the card to a data recovery service, but they were unable to recover any of the photos. I lost three days (about 150 pictures) worth of photos.

Summary: Viking vs Olympus
Review: I purchased the Viking 64MB SmartMedia over the Olympus.... I am glad I did. My Olympus C-2040 came with an 8MB card. It allows the use of the panorama feature. This is a fun feature, but not worth the extra cost unless you do a lot of panorama shooting. The Viking card works perfectly for everything else. My 64MB card initially stores 128 HQ (1600x1200) pictures; in practice I have had 150 HQ pictures on board. I usually shoot at 1024x768, and have never maxed out the card.

Review: I have been buying Viking in both SmartMedia and CompactFlash itinerations for the last 2 years. I've never had a problem and I find they are priced more competitively than the other leading brand. However, I always buy by the dollar-per-meg calculation, and currently this number should always be less than 1. Also, if you're looking to save $, shop the same card for a week or two and you might see some serious price fluctuations.
