Summary: Viking 128 MB SmartMedia for Digicam
Review: Excellent product. Works seemlessly with the Fuji 6800 Zoom digicam. Just pushed it in the slot and started taking pictures. A must need upgrade to the little 16 MB card that came with the camera. Gave me more than enough space for a week's worth of vacation pics. Go for the 128 MB card. Current prices, which keep on dropping, have it working out to about 75 cents per MB.

Summary: Do the math.
Review: I have been buying Viking in both SmartMedia and CompactFlash itinerations for the last 2 years. I've never had a problem and I find they are priced more competitively than the other leading brand. However, I always buy by the dollar-per-meg calculation, and currently this number should always be less than 1. Also, if you're looking to save $, shop the same card for a week or two and you might see some serious price fluctuations.

Summary: Worked great with my Olympus 3030
Review: This card worked great with 3030-Z. Just popped in and could begin taking pictures right away. It holds about 180 HQ pictures on the 3030. I filled up the whole card in a recent vacation and was able to download all the images to my PC just fine.

Summary: Worked Fine with the Nomad II MG after Firmware Upgrade
Review: This memory does NOT work with the out-of-the-box Nomad II MG. You must download the firmware upgrade...first. However, the download takes just a few minutes and to run the firmware upgrade takes all of 20 seconds. Once you've done that, it seems to work perfectly fine with the MG

Summary: burnt out on me
Review: I have the 64 meg card. It is either in my reader or my camera. Last time I d/l photos it kept telling me I needed to reformat the disk (can you even do that??) but I eventually got the photos off. This morning the same thing happened... and I can not get the pictures off. :( I can see them fine in the camera, but can't find my cord that came with the camera. So do I see if I can get a new card or go buy a new reader?? To say the least had I been on vacation I would have been extremely ticked off.

Summary: SmartMedia: The only way to go
Review: For high resolution digital camera the Viking SSFDC3/ 128 MB Smartmedia Card is the only way to go. I own the Olympus Camedia Digital Camera 3040 with a 3.3 Megapixel per picture. The camera came with an woefully insufficient 16 MB card. With the 128 MB in there I can take a days worth of pictures and not worry about uploading until the end of the day. The Viking SmartMedia worked great with this camera. I threw it in and it worked, as simple as that. Get a card reader and the whole process is entirely hassel free. With the great price on this card I probably will get a second card for those vactations where I don't want to bring my laptop.

Summary: Not Compatable with Fuji FinePix 4700 Zoom
Review: I purchased and returned this item back to Amazon. Be warned, the 128MB Smart Media card is not compatible with Fuji FinePix 4700 Zoom, even though Amazon's web site say it is. The maximum capacity of the camera is 64MB. This was confirmed when I contacted Viking tech support.

Summary: Works Fine with Olympus C-3000
Review: The card worked well with my Olympus C-3000 digital camera.I was able to use the card to hold 196 HQ images (2048x1536) or 388 seconds of video. One problem: I was not able to perform the initial formating in the camera. I had to format the card in the card reader attached to my PC. After that initial format, I could reformat the card in the camera.

Summary: 128 MB is awesome
Review: At 128 MB on a Smartmedia card, this makes my Fuji Finepix 6800 smokin'. With the camera set at 3 megapixels, I get 224 pictures! If I take 4 or 5 movies of around 100-160 seconds each, I still have like 50 pictures. This card is great.
