Summary: The best 256MG SD card in the marker
Review: I have tried many brands of SD cards (Lexar, Vicking, Sandisk, etc) in my palm TT, and by far Lexar makes the most reliable memory cards on the market. The are faster than any other brand. Sandisk cards are the cheapest in the market, and I bought one 256MG, and in the card only work a couple of hours and I lost all my data. Vicking is much better than Sandisk, but it doesnt have the speed of the Lexar cards. The only downside of lexar is price, but is not much, and for me is worth it. Go with Lexar, you wont regret it.

Summary: Have an Axim? This card might not work for you.
Review: I purchased a Lexar 256mb SD card several weeks ago. It worked great for a few days, and then died. The card was full of directories all named ".", and it could not be reformatted.

As it turns out, Lexar sources most of their cards from SanDisk, and the controller in those cards is not currently compatible with the Dell Axim. If your card was made in China or Taiwan, it will most likely only work for a week or two before corrupting. If you get a card that was made in Japan, you'll be OK.

Lexar was very good about taking my bad card back, and I'm happy now that I have a Japanese card. It's rock solid and has no problems.

Summary: Sticking with Lexar 256MB SD cards
Review: I purchased the Lexar 256MB SD card for my Palm Tungsten T and loaded it with a playlist of over 100 songs to carry on a trip (at least 5 hrs of music). Using the RealOne software (bundled with the Palm MP3 Audio Kit) all the tracks easily transferred from my PC to the Lexar SD card.

No additional work, such as formatting, was required before loading the card. I didn't encounter any problems during the transfer nor when deleting or adding individual songs. Also, my card is from China (as stamped on back) and it doesn't appear to be defective in any way. It arrived in a factory sealed plastic casing that required scissors to remove the SD card and the UPC code. The Lexar card was reasonably priced, ... I plan to purchase another Lexar 256MB SD card for creating documents, spreadsheets, etc on my Palm.

Summary: Treo 600 Essential
Review: I purchased this card for use in my Treo 600. It has functioned perfectly, allowing me to save various types of programs and files for use in my Treo. I have not had any problems with the lock feature, as other users have reported. I recommend this card to anyone who needs storage space in compact form.

Summary: Lexar Media 256mb Secure Digital
Review: I recently got a Minolta F100 camera as a gift from my Employer. It came with a 16mb Toshiba SD memory card. I quickly realized that small memory card was not going to cut it. Looking around the web I found the Lexar Media 256mb on sale here at Amazon and purchased the card. The card has been great and really allows one to capture tons of pictures without the need of a computer to offload. I can store 255 images at 2272x1704 with standard compression. Enough for even the most ambitious vacation plans.

An amazing product at a great price! It's hard to believe a postage size card can hold 256mb of data. I look forward to cost effective 512mb and 1024mb cards in the future. One thing I know for sure is it will be a Lexar Media product.

Summary: Works well; hoped it would be faster
Review: I'm fairly happy with the Lexar 256 MB SD card. It works well in my 4 megapixel camera. I was hoping it would be faster than the 128 MB SimpleTech card I already had. It's not. Both seem dreadfully slow to record pictures and to read them back with unloading. My 3 MP camera is probably 2-3 times faster with its Compact Flash memory card.

Summary: Pretty good deal...except....
Review: It's definately a great price for the 256mb, but the only complaint that I have about it is that it only reads 243.7 mb as the total mem available on the card. The performance so far is excellent. It is working well in my Palm Zire 71.

Summary: If you've got a Dell...
Review: Let me add my voice to those who've already spoken about the problem Dell Axims have with Lexar SD cards. My Dell asked me if I wanted to format the card to make it readable. I'll never use that card again.

Summary: Rock solid, great for Pocket PCs
Review: Lexar makes some of the best flash memory on this planet. I've owned CompactFlash and Secure Digital cards from Lexar, Sandisk as well as generics from CompUSA. By far Lexar's offerings are the most reliable, giving me 100% error-free performance. Lexar cards also appear to be faster and more power-efficient, although I haven't done any rigorous testing, just experience. (CompUSA's are the worst -- I actually lost data on their 128MB CF card!) I'm a Pocket PC freak and I load my flash memory with tons of multimedia content, so reliability and speed are important to me.

In the past Lexar cards were a bit pricier than some other brands, but recently Lexar has become very competitive and many of their products are actually among the cheapest. Great quality + great value = totally recommended.

Note: You should still always back up your data regularly. On the Pocket PC, use the back-up function in ActiveSync. On any device, just copy the entire content of the card to a folder in your Windows Explorer.
