Summary: Slow, malfunctioning piece of junk
Review: Even if this were the cheapest Compact Flash card available, I'd avoid it. I've tested it in many devices, including several digital cameras, my PDA, MP3 player, and my PC (with adapter). The MP3 player didn't treat it any differently than any other card, but my digital camera clearly operates more slowly with this card installed. When I loaned the card to my friend so he could take more pictures when he went on vacation, we were very nearly unable to transfer the pictures off the card. 3 card readers were unable to read the card, and I eventually had to install the camera's software and use its included cable to get the pictures off the camera. Another friend's camera wouldn't read the card AT ALL.

I thought the card was defective, so I returned it and got another one...with the same results. Some cameras won't read it, some read it slowly (some work with no problems).

If you don't have any other brands of CF cards to compare this one to, you may not realize how deficient it is. Trust me. I own 4 or 5 brands of memory cards, and have used them in over a dozen electronics devices, and the Memorex Compact Flash performed the worst.

Summary: Memorex 32MB CF intermittent
Review: I got my photos off of this card once. Once. The second time I went to get pictures off, 60% of the files on the card were corrupted. That would be 60% of my vacation photos, completely vanished. Tantalizingly enough, the filenames were still (sort of) visible, but there was no way of restoring the corrupted files.

So, I wiped the disk, thinking I could at least use it for data transfer from my laptop to computers at work. No go. Everything I put on it is corrupted or otherwise unreadable when I try to retrieve it.

Oddly enough, the no-name 8MB card that came with my camera has served perfectly for two full years of file transfers in the camera, in my PCM-CIA adapter, in any situation. Not so the Memorex card. It's been over six months since I bought it (not from Amazon, but you can bet I'll use Amazon next time, if only for the helpful reviews!), so I don't think I can get a store refund, but I'm definitely trying to get a refund from Memorex!

Summary: Slowww...
Review: I have the 128M version of this card. It does not work at all in my high-end digital camera. The card must be the slowest, oldest technology on the market.

...I finally just through it away.

Summary: Memorex 32MB CF intermittent
Review: I've used this in two Kodak cameras and various MP3 players, all have had frequent problems reading/writing to this card. I've sent it in to Memorex for a replacement and found the new unit with identical problems. Memorex still does not admit to there being any problem with their cards. Do not get this card!

Amazingly enough, I got frustrated enough to find a workaround when the CF fails to read. Simply remove it from your device for anywhere from 1 to 5 minutes, then reinstall it and see if you can now retrieve your data. Nine out of 10 times this works for me. Apparently, having it sitting idle with no power attached seems to temporarily resolve the problem. I've used it for a year like this and have always been able to play my MP3s...after a few minutes of waiting. Your mileage may vary.

Again, DO NOT GET THIS CARD!

Review: The Memorex 32MB compact flash card is perfect for use in PDA's, digital cameras, MP3 players, or any of the latest electronic products that can use it. I use mine for storing extra songs on my MP3 player. Download to the card takes only seconds per song and doubles the capacity of my 32MB device.

The card is also great for use in digital camaras where you need extra storage space but don't want to break your bank account on a larger card. It's great for adding storage space a little at a time as you can afford it.

If you need extra memory with your PDA, the Memorex card is ideal. Are you a salesrep traveling to your "big meeting" or an accountant with a large database of figures? This card can offer you that extra bit of memory to store all those facts and figures that need room for. Perfect for storing those really large programs that just don't quite fit within the realm of your PDA.

So pick one (or more) up today! You'll be glad you did. If you are anything like me, you're probably sick of having to run back to your desktop to swap out files everytime you run out of room on your little "toy." With the Memorex 32MB compact flash card, at least you won't have to do AS much of that file swappin'.
