Summary: Reading Memory Stick
Review: I am not sure of the compatibility of reading all brands of Memory Sticks. I'd say it reads my Lexmark 128MB stick 90% of the time, the other 10% of the time it would render the Memory stick unreadable, even by the digital camera. An error message on the camera would read Format Error when placing the Stick back in the camera after trying to read it by SanDisk. I've never gotten that error if the camera read the Stick on its own. I'd then need to format the stick with the camera thus loosing whatever images I have taken. I have a Sony DSC707 camera.

Summary: Cleveland reviewer
Review: I am running WinXP Home. This card reader is not hot-swappable. When trying to do so, the computer locks up and doesn't read anything. The only thing to do is shut off, plug in the reader, reboot, then ensert the cards. Not doing so results in a message that my USB device is malfunctioning. If a card is enserted while rebooting, I get the same message. This reader is NOT a smooth operator. I am now shopping for individual readers instead of a combo.

Summary: Inconsistent with Non-Sony Memory Sticks
Review: I've had this for about 4 months now, and overall the performance has been spotty, especially with Non-Sony media. My Lexar 128 stick worked fine with this unit for the first few months, but is now a hit or miss affair-- it only recognizes the stick about 50% of the time. A problem with the stick itself? Perhaps. My sony 128 mb stick works well all the time. In any case, I'm replacing this unit with a sony reader. I dont' need the aggravation!

Summary: Sooo much easier than a serial cable!
Review: My camera does not have a USB port, and transferring pictures over serial cable is terribly slow. Worse, when I upgraded my computer to Windows XP, the serial port did not recognize that my camera was attached at all. Scandisk's ImageMate came to the rescue and allowed me to start using the digital camera again. Insert your memory card into the reader, and the images are uploaded to your computer automatically. It works really well with Windows XP - you don't need any additional software for the camera. My only complaint is that the USB cable that comes with the unit is a bit short, particularly if your CPU is a tower that you keep on the floor. But otherwise, a great product. I'm buying one for my tech wary father-in-law today.

Summary: Easy to install but stopped working after a year
Review: This product was very easy to install and use but didn't last very long. After almost a year of trouble-free use, it suddenly stopped working. When I tried to read the contents of my CompactFlash card, the little light would blink like it is working but never stopped to show the contents of the card. I tried to uninstall and then re-installing but without success.I'm not sure if I can by another product like this from SanDisk.

Review: Works as advertised. The very short USB connector with the included extension is a nice touch since I did not need a long USB line, so the 6" main one is just right. Works fine for both types of cards after a month of use.
