Summary: RAM is RAM
Review: Fact is, RAM is just RAM, so it usually just works or doesn't work. This RAM works. I've experienced a huge increase in performance after the installation. Please note that all of the RDRAM that I know of must be installed in pairs, which makes this 128 megs of RAM. I find amazon.com to be the cheapest place to buy this model of RAM. All Viking RAM is 100% tested and certified with a lifetime warranty. They also guarantee compatibility with the computers they list and their equivalents (I checked on Viking's website to make sure I got the right kind). I don't know about other computer companies, but I know that Sony does not guarantee compatibility but still honors the warranty of their computers. Be very careful about the megahertz rating on the RAM: you don't want to mix up 800mhz with 600mhz. That just won't work, because all the RAM has to be the same speed. Remember to keep those CRIMMS that were there before: you might need them again. Overall, this RAM works perfect, has a warranty that's perfect... Just make sure you have the right kind.Oh, and one more thing: this RAM doesn't work with anything Athlon or lower, anything Pentium 3 and lower, or the Celeron. At this time, it only works with all Pentium 4 models. Beware: later Intel will 2 different Pentium 4 models, one using SDRAM and the other RDRAM.

Review: Usually, RAM just works or doesn't work. This one works. The increase of my computer speed was more than just noticable... Viking RAM is 100% certified and tested, with a lifetime warranty and a guarantee of compatibility with the computer models listed and their equivalents (I checked at Viking.com first). Most computer companies still honor the warranty for the computer itself. I'd be surprised if you found a lower price, but amazon.com's the cheapest place i've found so far... Remember that all RDRAM (that I know of anyway) has to be installed in pairs. Be sure not to mix RAM with different Mhz ratings. Be sure to keep the CRIMMS (RIMMS that are put in empty RAM slots) in case you need it. Also remember that at this time, only the Pentium 4 can use RDRAM. Beware: later Intel will release Pentium 4's that use SDRAM, and ones that use RDRAM. Check at your manufacturers website to be sure... Overall, this RAM does all the work it's supposed to do, with a very good warranty along with it. Just make sure that you have the right model:...
