Summary: will not work with Gateway Essential PCs
Review: This is the RAM recommended for the Gateway Essential series. Beware: it's 66mhz and the RAM Gateway installs at the factory is 100mhz. You cannot have RAM of two different BUS speeds on the same board. If you have a Gateway Essential, like me you probably have 100mhz RAM. Do NOT order this product as it will not work for you.

Summary: Why wait to upgrade, like I did?
Review: When I ordered my first home computer I was not fully aware of the difference additional RAM would make. I doubled the amount the unit 'came with', but did not realized how high the capacity was. After adding two of these, I have realized a dramatic improvement in everything that happens, from boot times, program loads, simulator and game performance, and shutdown. The install took about 10 minutes total, with no software to load or system reconfiguration needed. Truly a good investment.
