Review: For the price you can't beat the quality of sound. I wasn't sure just what to expect, but am very pleased with the sleek design and sound. the bass boost option is nice. My husband was so impressed with it he immediately asked me to order him one to use at his job!

Summary: Good gift for your budding music enthusiast, but . . .
Review: I purchased this boombox for my 10-year-old son, who seems to require musical input even while he sleeps. The non-skip CD play is awesome, the fm reception is as good as can be expected, and the tape deck is better than that of the family stereo system. Two cautions: 1. Unless your child will only want to play the boombox near an electric receptacle, the cost of batteries might overwhelm him/her. It takes 6 D batteries (every couple of weeks). 2. An adult with hearing intact would be disappointed in the lack of bass achievable by the boombox. It could really use a bass boost.

Summary: Good, cheap boombox
Review: I was looking for a cheap, reliable boombox that I could put in each Sunday school room at my church. I don't think it has enough bass sound, but for its price, its not bad. The controls are great, but I have noticed that some electronically challenged people try to operate the cd controls with the cassette buttons. That is probably because the cassette controls are closer to the CD door that the CD controls. The pictures on the CD control, a single large button, should probably stand out more. In all, I bought 7 of these boomboxes, and am happy with them all.

Review: It seems nice, for the price... but I feel that the radio's reception is not very good. As you walk closer to it...the station fades out. The cd player tends to stop spinning at times, interrupting the song. Maybe as a gift for a child who doesn't have one, this may be nice, but for an adult that wants quality, I recommend a radio with digital stations instead of the tuner.

Summary: Pretty Good Sound for the Money!
Review: My giant, unwieldy, wickedly heavy, Sony boombox finally died so I bought this one and not only is the size so much more convenient, but the style is so much sleeker and is light as a feather. The sound quality is pretty good for the money but it is a little tinny sounding at times. Nice cassette deck, records actually very well. Overall I give it 4 1/2 stars. If you are looking for good bass and very rich sound, pass on this one, but if you just need something to play in the bathroom, kitchen or carry around outdoors you can't beat the quality and the price.
