Rating: Summary: Great Looks and Great Sound at a Great Price!! Review: After reading the glowing reviews that several had sent in in 2000, I just had to get this model and see for myself if it was as good as it's prebillings purported. After putting my own new unit through it's paces, I'm here to report, it's not as good as stated, it's BETTER!! Great Looks and Great Sound at a Great Price!! I would recommend it to anyone.
Rating: Summary: GREAT VALUE FOR MONEY!!![.] Review: Great Price!!! Nice crisp, clear sound and decent bass power!!! Space Age design. I got the RXES27 so i guess this an upgraded version. Buy it and you won't regret it.
Rating: Summary: Very pleased with my purchase Review: I am very pleased with the purchase of this boombox. It is very easy to use and the sound quality is geat. I would recommend this boombox for anyone interested in buying a quality boombox at an affordable price. I have only owned it for one week, therefore, I can not comment on the durability of the equipment.
Rating: Summary: Good sound overall... Bass is a little weak though Review: I got this a couple of days ago, i have bought over 23 boomboxes in the past 3 years and returned most of them (they did not meet my expectations in quality) this boombox has great sound, the sound is really lifelike, the bass is a little weak though at higher volumes, but overall i would recommend this product as a boombox for your kitchen, dining room, or maybe for a backyard barb-q, but if you want great BIG sound buy a mini system!...
Rating: Summary: GREAT VALUE FOR MONEY!!![.] Review: I had to return this one because (1) it didn't work on batteries and (2) the cassette door opened and the heads spun and clicked every time the power button was turned on. I replaced it with a Sony CFD-S47, which works great, and, as a bonus, takes up much less space on my desk.

Rating: Summary: the louder you play it the better it sounds! Review: I've only owned this machine for four days and I'm absolutely blown away by it. The alignment of the speakers really does create a nice 3D sound effect even when listening to AM radio. There are several different equalization presets that bring out different sound qualities depending on what you're listening to. I am very impressed with the way the controlls are laid out on the machine. They are separated into groups so it's easy to find what you're looking for. This is especially useful for me because I am totally blind and it is easy to remember the functions of each controll because of how they are arranged. Where this machine really stands out though is in it's sheer power. I thought the "Power blaster" thing sounded a little corny, but not after hearing it. This machine packs plenty of power and I don't really agree with the reviewer who said you lose bass as the volume goes up. Granted, a mini system would deliver more bass, but this boombox does a nice job in bringing out eh bass and it doesn't drop off when the volume goes up and believe me, the volume goes up! In short, BUY ONE! You'll love it. Oh, and my jog dial works fine also.
Rating: Summary: A lot of bang for the buck! Review: Panasonic does it again. I experimented with many brands, but it seems that I can always count on Panasonic to give me some of the best features, sound, and quality for a reasonable price. The look and feel of the display and controls seemed as if they belonged on a set that cost ... more. One exception - no batteries included with the remote control?! Sound is very good, operation is smart, and a lot of features for the price. For a boombox, I was also amazed at how loud I could go before distortion. Again, for the price its hard to beat. It's not the quality of a mini-component system but the price isn't as high either. This will accompany my 1982 Panasonic boombox that still sounds & works great, but does not have a CD player.
Rating: Summary: Very pleased with my purchase Review: The Panasonic PowerBlaster RX-ES25 is a great boombox. It plays very loud and does not distort the music even at full volume like many boomboxes can. The Sound Virtulizer gives the music 3D sound, and the preset equalizer settings even add more character to music. The Equalizer has 4 settinngs. XBS (adds punch to rock), Clear (clarifies higher sounds), Soft (for background music), and Vocal (adds gloss to vocals). The CD player is a slide out drawer type as opposed to the top loading found on most boomboxes. The CD Player has all the features (Random, Repeat, 36 Track Program). The tape player sounds great too. The tape player is full logic controls. What's cool about the tape deck is has a motorized ejecting system at the touch of a buttton. The cassette has different modes for recording. The only thing I wish it the cassette deck had is auto reverse. The Radio is all digital and gets many stations with its long antenna. You can preset 12AM and 12FM Stations and scroll through them buy using the Jog-Dial. The unit comes with a remote control that controls every funtion including cassette. If you want to use batteries the unit takes 8D for the main power, 4AA for the memory back-up (Clock, CD player and preset stations ect.). The manual says the memory batteries will last about a year. You also need 2AA batteries for the remote. I bought the 8D rechargeable alkaline batteries. I may have to exhange my unit because the jog-dial seems to stick in certian spots I am going to call Panasonic to see if this is normal. If you want a boombox that goes really loud and has great sound quality this could be the one for you.
