Summary: Don't buy it!
Review: I have a brand spanking new computer with a geForce3ti 500 video card and Windows XP, Pent IV 2 ghz and all the good stuff. I bought this card and put it in the PCI slot and my computer would not boot up at all. Did some fidling around with it some more and finally removed it and then my computer worked fine. I can't get this card to work AT ALL and will be returning it ASAP!

Summary: Poor software and support make this product unusable
Review: I have read that this is a good product if one actually gets it to work. Unfortunatly, if you run Windows 2000 that is very difficult. For some reason, the drivers for Windows 2000 are still in beta. I can't get it to work with my Matrox Millenium G400 even though it is on the approved list. ATI does not support drivers and software that are in beta so they are of no help in resloving the issues with their buggy software. My advice is to buy a product that has software that works properly under Windows 2000 or to wait until this one does.

Summary: One of the better TV Tuner cards out there
Review: I like this TV Tuner card most because of it's solid performance and high quality; that is something that a lot of cards from other no-name manufacturers lack. I know...I just had a no-name TV Tuner card die on me. ATI has a reputation for reliabilty and good performance in graphics cards, etc., so this would be a good choice unless you have $80 you want to throw away. However, it does work BEST if you have an ATI video card. Otherwise, you may run into some compatibility issues.

Summary: Good product
Review: I purchased the lower end version of this product, the TV Wonder VE. It has met all my needs in a TV Tuner card to go in the PCI slot of my low-end emachine.

My emachine did come with a ATI video card, so I think that made it really easy. It also accepts composite input, something I haven't tried yet.

Had a minor audio issue with this product. Called support, got a stupid person once, helpful person the next time I called.

Overall good product, I assume the regular more expensive product is even better.

Summary: Great product, but setup can be difficult
Review: I purchased the Value Edition (VE) of the ATI-TV Wonder for a great price, and so far I have been fairly happy with it. The only problem was with installing the card.

I plugged the PCI card into my motherboard easily enough, and I used the card happily for a couple of days. But after installing some other hardware, the card crashed my system each time I tried to capture screenshots.

It turned out that I had a configuration problem in the IRQs of my computer, and after crashing the computer quite a few times more I was able to solve it. ATI should really include more information on this directly on the user's manual.

Besides the installation problem, the card works beautifully: TV quality is high, screen capturing works great, video capturing is dependable, etc.

I have a Pentium III 450 and a Voodoo3 2000 card.

Summary: Lots of people that don't understand this product
Review: I read this reveiw section, and I see lots of folks that:
1) don't understand the resolution and aspect differences between SVGA, MPEG2 (DVD), VHS and broadcast TV
2) don't understand Microsoft operating systems (doesn't work after UPGRADING 98 to Win2k? What a surprise!)

This is a great product. Works on both my XP Pro and Win2K machines, and looks great on my TV (which I have hooked up to it).

Summary: What I think of the ATI TV Wonder
Review: I recently purchased the ATI TV Wonder TV Video Capture Board for the sole pupose of captuing and editing video. I didn't really care about the TV Tuner i just bought it becouse I Like Cinemaatography and for what i wanted it to do it was awsome the software was a little shabby but I was able to download different software titles and. It captures VERY good video in a VERY small amount of space I did the couculations for every minuite it takes up excaclty 1.65 MB and that is small for the quality of video. Overall the is the most reasonable priced piceof hardware.

Summary: Could be a bit better, but gets the job done
Review: I think this is a good product if you plan to use it as intended. those that have incompatible graphics cards will run into serious problems, but otherwise this is a great product that gets the job done.

Summary: you get what you pay for
Review: I wanted a way to input video from my camera, so I thought it would be great to get TV on the computer as well. I ended up with what I paid for. There are more expensive cards I could have gotten, but I thought ATI would be quality. What I found was a very buggy software package. On my system, a Dell p450 with a Diamond Viper 3d card, it crashes if you use the wrong setting. That means I can't use it the way it was designed to work. I have work arounds and functions that I avoid. I would never recommend this card to anyone and i look forward to a software update.

Summary: Incredible
Review: I was astounded by the simplicity of the installation... I slipped it into a PCI slot, connected it to the soundcard, closed up my computer, and I was ready. Installation of the software only took one minute at most, and when I entered the application for watching TV, the wizard basically configured everything by itself. The sound is great and picture is awesome. I now have the TV Wonder connected to my cable box, and have gotten rid of my TV!

I stronly recommend the ATI-TV Wonder for anyone who is looking for a TV tuner to put into their computer.
