Rating: Summary: The best card money can buy! Review: I just made same bench marks it looks that this baby killed Geforce 3 TI 500 by 10% it really performs excellent. There is no reason to pay [$$$]for GForce 4 for another 12% of extra performance, unless you have money so loose. I am really happy with This Rodeon 128MB, I played 8 games and I did not find any problems playing. ATI is really improving fast with drivers; I highly recommend this card for hardcore gamers!
Rating: Summary: Rodeon 128 MB! 275Mhz Core and 550Mhz memory!!, Review: I just replaced this card with my old GF2 32MB GTS,with old card the image quality was not too good, and in most today games I had problems playing with 1600-1200 Resolution. Rodeon with 128MB is different issues, it killed my Old Geforce 2.and all Geforces 3 Overclocking is fantastic, the drivers are perfect with windows XP, I made compares ant to my buddy friend computer same CPU and he has Geforce 3 TI 500, and my card smoked his card in every aspect of benchmarks. He got so upset that he decided to sell his card. Yes indeed this card is the best money can buy, really good Performance!!!!
Rating: Summary: Not For Video Editors! Review: I was severely dissapointed when I discovered I couldn't edit the video that this card captures.Attention PC USERS! This card will not allow you to capture professional video in a format that allows conventional video editing. Unlike previous versions of the All-In-Wonder, this product lacks the video editing conversion tools and codec compatability. The video captured looks (bad) unless you record in .mp2, .vcr, or .wmv I tried a variety of codecs but I was dropping frames and I have a 1.6 Ghz P4 processor and 540 k Ram, should have been a breeze. The Ati .VCR codec is great but you cannot convert it into anything but an mp2 which is not compatible with Adobe Premiere or Virtual Dub or any program I could find without drastically reducing the quality of the video. I bought this product so I could make and edit a video for my brother's wedding. I am very disappointed. The best I can get is a 640x480 Mpeg1 capture that looks pretty lousy when any movement is involved. The .wma, .vcr, and mp2 formats capture very nicely, but the bottom line is that I am unable to edit these formats without severely compromising the quality of the video. I contacted ATI and "this is just the way it is," I was told. I would advise making sure you look for a video card that captures quality video in a conventional, edit-friendly format.
Rating: Summary: Rodeon keep up good Job!!! Review: Scored 10528 on 3DMark2001 using an Epox 8K3A+ VIA KT333 mobo, a non-overclocked Athlon XP 2200+, OCZ 512MB PC3000 DDR CL2, and ATI Radeon 8500. The detail and picture quality are flawless when playing Serious Sam II. The Radeon 8500 is an excellent card and a great value.
