Rating: Summary: So which Geforce should I buy anyway? Review: Familiar question? NVidia makes great chips but they definitely make it confusing when it comes to deciding which card to buy. First is a Geforce, then a Geforce2, oh wait, here's this MX version, now there's two different MX versions, now a Pro and a GTS version... oh I see an Ultra version. Oh man, now a Geforce3, now a TI200 and TI500. Are they deliberately trying to confuse us?To sort through the insanity I went to the 3DMark website. As of the time of this writing, the results stand as follows (from fastest to slowest): 1. ATI Radeon 8500 2. NVIDIA GeForce3 Ti 500 3. NVIDIA GeForce3 Ti 200 4. NVIDIA GeForce3 5. ATI Radeon 7500 6. NVIDIA GeForce2 Ultra 7. NVIDIA GeForce2 GTS/Pro Any of these cards will run anything currently out without breaking a sweat. In fact, as many reviewers have pointed out, many of the newest features available in the Geforce 3 and Radeon cards haven't even been incorporated into games (yet). Compare prices and determine which on the list is within your price range. As of the time of this writing, this PNY GF3ti200 is offered for much cheaper than the original GF3 sold by Visiontek, yet the ti200 is a faster card. Regarding the Radeon vs. Geforce debate, it's nice to see healthy competition or else NVidia would be selling their cards for much more $$ I'm sure. That said, I'm very unhappy with ATI's unstable drivers and poor tech support. Keep that in mind when deciding on a card. Hope this helps you in your decision.
Rating: Summary: Crisp performance, simple installation. Review: I'm a casual gamer on a budget, and my TNT2 Ultra card (by Diamond) was getting a bit long in the tooth. I did some research and settled on a GeForce3 TI200 becuase of price/performance issues, and reviews of other PNY cards. I believe this was an excellent purchasing decision, even after several weeks. 1) This is a great looking card, physically, and the ample fan and heatsinks should help with cooling issues. 2) Installation was a snap. I actually installed this card with the latest drivers available from NVidia and was pleased by the simplicity of the installation; no hitches, no freezing, no nothing. 3) Framerates in popular games were excellent; around 85 FPS for 1024X768 mode in Quake3 with the graphics options maxed out and a very involved demo. (I have a Dell 850MHZ PIII with 512 MB RAM) 4) Overclocking is simplicity itself, and let's you squeeze out higher framerates. Look for the "Coolbits" registry hack. 5) DVD playback looks fantastic. The card comes with 3 video outputs, VGA (standard monitor output), S-video (for connection to a TV), and DCI for high-quality flat-panel displays. I haven't tried hooking this to my TV yet due to space constraints, but I'll update my review when I do. All in all, this is an excellent card and very stable even when over-clocked. It misses the 5 point mark because it is definately _not_ the fastest card out there, and the included software is thin for a retail card. But for the price, this is an excellent purchase, and I would purchase it again.

Rating: Summary: The GF3TI200 just doesn't do the trick anymore Review: Nor does the gf4ti4200. They both won't offer satisfying performance for nex-gen games. Even for current applications, you'll suffer a major performance hit. Not to mention the continous debate of money and more between the radeon and geforce series graphics card, the gffx was a failure. the gf4 ti was a great hit. Currently radeon and ATI's technologies own's the graphics industry, not to mention MATROX isn't doing any better than NVIDIA. They released they're new pharhelia int he summer, which wasn't bad, just had graphical and performance issues. GF3 ti200 isn't much better than the geforce 2 in performance in older games. In current games, it of course beats it out. In nex-gen games, it's hard to say. In 3Dmark2001SE, I scored 5550. Most of the tests at default settings ran averageley at 30fps. That shows that you'll be able to get a decent frame rate in most 2001-2002 dx8.1 games. (Dell Dimension Intel Processor 1100mhz, 440mb ddr, winxp home, two 18gb maxtor hds, etc...)I'll be upgrading to an all knew dell dimesion XBS, P4 3GHZ 800 bus, 1.5GB ddr, Radeon 9800, two 60gb hds, Winxp pro, (etc) this summer. That should provide what I need for next-gen games. OK so I'm loosing my talk, just don't buy this card if you want next-gen quality graphics and performance!!
Rating: Summary: HOLY COW THIS IS GOOD!!! Review: The geForce 3 ti 200, my fave graphics card for [less]! I have one in my computer, and it kicks ...! If you're a casual gamer, this is the card for you, however, if you're a hardcore gamer, like me, you need the geForce FX 5950 Ultra, which I NEED, but anyway, this card ROX with the visulation on iTunes!
Rating: Summary: This is the ONE Review: There are rumors that you have to spend 400 bucks to get a TOP of the line Video Accelerator. Let me put and end to this rumor right now. I'm running a P4 1.6 GHZ, 640MB RAM system, with this Ti-200 card. It produces AMAZINGLY realistic and smooth graphics. It's a SERIOUS graphics card, and can run ANY game you buy at its max. Compare it to the Ti-500, which runs 150 bucks or more than this one. I've seen BOTH cards in action, and you CANT tell the difference in the two. There is no reason to go out and blow the extra money. This is the best deal going right now. Top of the line performance for a lesser price. My reasoning for PNY producing this card? It gives everyone a chance to enjoy the Geforce3 Ti series cards without limiting it to the big spenders. The Ti-500 is "all about bragging rights" as the advertisement states..and thats all it's about. Save your money and add some more RAM instead. If you want serious graphics, this is your card. Note: Be sure your monitor and your system can handle this card. Its the real deal, but does have some system requirements. Check them out. good luck. ***UPDATE**** This card WAS the best deal out there. Now theres the Geforce 4 Ti4200, FASTER than this, and newer for LESS. look around :)
