Summary: Advice for Geforce 3 Owners
Review: First of all, let me say, I have a PNY Geforce 3 Ti, and I couldn't be more pleased with the product itself. As for the customer support, I haven't had any issues, so I can't comment there.

Computer: P4, 700MB RAM, Geforce 3 Ti, Turtle Beach Sound Card, 19 inch Trintron Monitor, and Pro-Media 5.1 Surround System.
(I've also written reviews on a few of these)

Now on to the Geforce 4 Ti-4600. My friend bought a new computer a couple weeks ago, and got the PNY G4 Ti-4600 as an option. I had to go over and see what it looked like. Very impressive. However, not much different than the Geforce 3 Ti that I'm running. You will get better frame rates because of the speed of the card, and the extra RAM, but when it comes down to what you see on the screen, there isn't much difference.

If you have a Geforce 2 or less, or buying a new computer, I'd definetly recommend this card. If your on a Geforce 3 Ti, I'd wait for the G5. There just isn't enough of a difference, especially if you download the new Detonator XP drivers from the Nvidia website.

Then theres the people who just want to have the BEST out there, just to have it. I'm one of those people, but for once I'm going to stick with what I've got, and wait for the next big advance in graphics before I spend the big money.

Good luck and take care.

***UPDATE***

I recently purchased a new Dell 8200, 2.8ghz, 512MB RD RAM, and this Geforce 4 Ti 4600 card. As I suspected, my games dont look much better at ALL from the Geforce 3 Ti 500. Sure, better frame rates, but I just wanted to affirm that you wont see a difference on screen, unless you crank up the AA settings and the resolution. If your a HARDCORE gamer you may want to grab this, but the Radeon 9700 PRO currently beats the heck out of it for the same price. Decision is yours.

Summary: A Nightmare
Review: I bought this card for my 14 year-old son through CDW. I placed the order with them before Christmas (around 12/20). I did not get it until 2/6. I brought it home, tried to install it but could not. We got nothing from the CD to install. We tried to call PNY on the morning of 2/8 but was forwarded from one department to the next. We got no help.
We decided to bring our CPU ( the card was already installed) and the CD to Best Buy. Best Buy Technicians pulled their hair out the whole day and still could not installed the CD. They took the card out and put it in two (2) of their testing CPU's and still could not install the CD. They then took out a same card GeForce4 4600 from Asylum and installed in my computer and it worked fine.
Best Buy advised that the card is defective. We paid Best Buy $...for their diagnostic testing and their attempt to install our PNY card .
I called CDW on Monday 2/10 to get an RMA number to return the defective card to CDW. Per CDW, I have to eat the shipping "to" and "from" which is about $...each way. They will only reimburse the cost of the card.
I called PNY and talked to the Sales Department. Eventhough I did not buy directly from PNY, I went ahead and asked them is there any solution to resolve the problem that I am having. I have been waiting faithfully for 2 months to get their products believing that their products are of higher quality than any other products with the same specs. Their answer is no, I have to eat all costs that were involved besides the actual cost of the card, period.
I have paid a total of $...(BestBuy fees and Shipping fees) on top of $...which was the cost of the card that CDW charged me.
My conclusion is PNY do not care about their customers' satisfaction. Their support/customer service line is not a support line but is a merry go round.

Summary: PNY customer service and warranty problems
Review: I bought this card when it first came out, and I was very happy with it. After a year of use, it started having problems other people have already described. Dots being drawn on the screen, locking up, things like that. When I put in another card everything was working fine.

While trying to find PNY's tech support I noticed that they don't even post a phone number on their website. That's a hint right there. Anyway I finally got to a live person and was able to get it exchanged. Well the replacement wasn't a GeForce4 Ti 4600 but a FX5600, which is much slower than the Ti4600. I am still trying to get this resovled.

Bottom line, don't buy from PNY. If they won't even post a Tech Support phone number on the website, something is probably wrong.

Summary: Sweet Card
Review: I could not ask for a better card. This card handles all of todays best 3D graphic games. Nothing I can throw at it, even Quake 3, Soldier of Fortune, Medal of Honor or Matrix can make this card break a sweat. It doesn't matter if its online playing or not. I have owned at least 7 different graphic cards from different companies, and this is the first time I am truely satisfied. I finally have no need to upgrade. This card rules for even the most demanding gamer.

Summary: PNY customer service and warranty problems
Review: I don't own this particular PNY card but read this anyway:

Don't buy any PNY product in the US without reading the full warranty. "Lifetime Replacement Warranty" is not what you would think. It is not the usual graphics card life and not the lifetime of the original purchaser. Go to PNY's website and read the fine print. The warranty MIGHT last a year as they define it.

My PNY Verto TI4200 AGP 64 card lasted only 14 months. It was the shortest lived graphics card I ever owned. You MUST have an RMA number to return it. And just try to get Tech Support. Hours on the phone get you only perpetual hold and no relief for your woes. Their email is just as bad.

Summary: worth it?
Review: I have been using a gforce 2 ultra. The 2 ultra in my opinion wasn't much different than the gforce 3 and better than some 3's I have seen. So the other day i have [a few hundred dollars] burning a hole in my pocket and on the spur of the moment decide to buy a 4 with 128 Megs...nice... Install was smooth and I am dying to see the big difference install drivers re boot and...The difference ... really isn't that big, now of course the benchmark numbers are tremendous, but my eye has the final decision. If I had to do it all again I would have waited for the five. Game play has improved... once again ..a LITTLE

Summary: Ok I think
Review: I just returned this card for Rodeon 8500, after I did some studies about these two cards.
The G4 was just not worth the money I think, [amazon.com]did not even ask me why I wanted to make exchange. Very good service at [amazon.com] #1
ATI DRIVERS ARE GETTING BETTER AND BETTER EACH MONTH!
Now It looks like ATI make even better drivers from Nivida, very happy with rodeon 8500 128 DDR, cheap and the perfomane is alsmost the same as Geforce 4 top Notch form Nivida. Soon ATI will realise Rodeon 9700 Will come out on july 18!(50% improvment over 8500 in perfomance) Which will blow all Nividas card into Dust for good!

Rodeon Kicks Butt!
