Rating: Summary: Compatibility Issue Review: Buyer's beware! Make sure that your system has at least 250 Watts of power supply or even 300 W (as Hercules tech support recommends). My Dell P3 450Mhz only has 200 Watts and the display is jittery when my hard drive is doing something. I tried everything from updating the driver, changing bios settings, flashing my mother board BIOS, etc. Nothing works. My last call to Hercules tech support pretty much told me that my power supply is not strong enough. That's why the display is jittery when the hard drive is working. I bought a new 300 W power supply but my mother board doesn't work at all with it. So I'm returning my board back to Amazon. :^(
Rating: Summary: Best bang for the buck. Review: For the money, this card is hard to beat. It uses a more elegant method of 3D rendering that saves memory bandwidth, the limiting factor of all modern graphics cards. [...] The more overlapping mountains, buildings, bots, trees, etc, the better the relative performance of this card becomes. It is better than any of the MX cards I have seen. [...] I was using a Prophet 4500 to play the game "Black & White" this afternoon and it was amazing.
Rating: Summary: The best choice if your Riva TNT2 is falling short. Review: Good price, excelent performance. Much better than GForce 2 MX at the same price. You shouldn't have to buy a U$S 350 monster to get high frame rates and play a decent game. This card is the smartest ever build, small engine, but runs cool. Pure technology and good support in Windows and Linux.
Rating: Summary: The best "value" graphics accelerator card in the market Review: I have a small suggestion here. Go to google.com and type "Hercules 3D Prophet 4500 64 MB review". The first 40-50 search results give in depth reviews of what has been one of the best selling card for the year 2001. I wont go into the statistics and the frame rates and the strengths and weaknesses - all of those are covered many times over in the reviews done by professional. What I will speak about is my experience in choosing this card and using it. I was looking for a upgrade for a defunct RIVA TNT2 M64 card that I owned previously, and didn't want to sell my clothes to acquire a new piece of hardware. Having read glowing reviews everywhere on the net, I decided, after much deliberation and research to invest in the Hercules 3D Prophet 4500 AGP. Suffice to say - I am totally satisfied with the card and can play graphic intensive games such as RTCW and MoHAA with ease, with medium settings, in 1024x768, 32 bit colour (thanks to the internal rendering done in default 32 bit colour). In fact I have heard people crib about how MoHAA taxes their high end systems and I am happy to say that this speedy tile based renderer performs admirably in crunch situations. Off course, in retrospect it was a great investment and a great upgrade. My PC configuration: PIII 800 EB Win 98SE 256 MB RAM 20 GB HDD Intel 815 chip set with 2x/4X AGP slot 15 inch colour monitor Hercules 3D Prophet 4500 graphics accelerator card (Kyro II) If you want bleeding edge triple digit frame rates - maybe you should look elsewhere - maybe at a Geforce 3 Ti500. But the Geforce costs about 3- 4 times as much as this card as probably offers about 50-70% better performance, for about 300-400% better price !! So take your pick. I bought mine for about USD 138 and at the current price of USD 94 , it's a fantastic deal. Go for it !

Rating: Summary: Underated and underpriced Review: I have been using a herc card for years, they have worked great for me. I don't play the bleeding edge games all the time, but this little 64 meg card does fine on quake II and unreal when I do play them. No complaints.

Rating: Summary: Great Graphics, Super-high res. Everything you need Review: I have this card for about a week now and it is really great. It works well on almost every game on a really high res. I am now playing my favorite game Counter-Strike on a very high-res with everything on max on a framrate of 70. It's amazing! Beware though, the card has some OpenGL problems, and wont be able to play quake 3 or Serious Sam until Hercules releases the new drivers. However, since most games use Direct3D, this isn't a real problem.
Rating: Summary: Hercules 3D Prophet 4500 64 MB, AGP Review: I'm not a computer wiz, in fact most computer jargon goes right over my head. I wanted a good video card to play games with, and it works. I have yet to run into a game that I coulndn't run. I can't profess that the performance is soley credited to the video card, but it seems to be doing its job
Rating: Summary: exelent performance, very low price... Review: It's a very good card, i used to have a creative labs riva tnt 2 m64 pci, and this card is a lot, lot faster, your games will load much faster and you'll have very good framerates. I don't have problems with this card besides the fact that in games like sports car gt and castrol honda 2000, i get slow slow framerates, i don't know why, on quake 3 arena I get 70 frames/s on my athlon 850 mhz but on sports car gt i can't get it to 20, my tnt 2 was faster on that game. Besides that it's a very good card. I didn't had any kind of problems installing the card... exelent image quality. for example in halflife, it works perfect(frames/s) even with fsaa 4x
