Summary: Great Video Card, But One Major Problem
Review: This is an excellent video card, and it is so much better than a Voodoo. The graphics are amazing, and its a decent buy. There is one seroius problem to consider though: NO TV OUT. I love this card, but I got DVD drive, and I can't watch DVD movies on my TV. My monitor is small, so I don't like watching movies on it, and now I have to buy and decoder card...I really wish this card had TV out because it would be the greatest card, and I would have gave it 5 stars. Before you buy this card think about this: Do I want to watch DVD movies on my TV, using TV OUT, or want to watch it on my monitor? Remeber if you want to watch DVDs on your TV, you will need to spend extra $$ for a Decoder Card.

Summary: Quake 3 Support
Review: To hell with a Voodoo card! The TNT2 chipset on this card is the only chipset (with the exception of Nvidia's new GeForce chip which replaces the TNT2)capable of supporting the 32 bit textures in Quake 3 Arena. The game REQUIRES a card with FULL OPEN GL SUPPORT. Voodoo cards don't have it. THIS ONE DOES! I use this at home (and I sell it at work) and it is beautiful!

Summary: A Great All-Around Card
Review: Until I purchased my Diamond Viper V770 Ultra, I was running all my 3D Graphics through a Voodoo2. My processor is only a PII 300, and I was concerned that I might not see much difference between the cards because my processor is relatively slow anyway. After installing my card, my concerns were quickly put to rest. Case in point: NBA Live 2000 with Voodoo2: 800 X 600, poor image quality; with the V770: 1024 X 768, ALL details on, crisp graphics. Quake 2 with Voodoo 2: 800 X 600, poor image quality (sense a trend here?); with the Voodoo2: 1600 X 1200. I would definitely recommend this card!

Review: When I was finally getting my new computer, I knew that this card was a vital component to my system. I read all the reviews, good and bad for it when I first got it back in September. Let me tell you, it's so worth getting. I basically drooled all over my keyboard at the graphics, the game play, the smooth animation, when I loaded up games for this system with the card. Quake 3...I don't think I would ever play it on any system that does not have a TNT2 Ultra chipset card in it.It is true that this card doesn't support Glide, but why does that matter? When you think about it, look at the reviews of games, and read the gaming requirements on the boxes of games...it doesn't mention too much about Glide, but it always mentions something about OpenGL. However, I've decided to get a Voodoo 2 card add-on in SLI mode for my system anyway, since it won't take place of my main video card. The TNT2 Ultra card isn't just for gaming grahically. It's great for those business applications that you need to render graphs, flow charts, and those presentations too. This card is not just a great gaming card, but also a great all-around card. I've used faster systems with the Voodoo 3 card, it's a decent card, but my Diamond TNT2 Ultra card definitely blew it up in comparision. If I were anyone trying to decide, I'd really have to look at the options of either card and choose wisely.

Summary: Don't buy this!!! Card is four years old
Review: Wow I can not believe they still sell this. The chip it is based on is four years old and won't play *any* new 3d games. Diamond *went out of business* two years ago. I have no idea why it is for sale anywhere for more than 10 bucks. I mean you can buy much faster cards for half the price. Look at the Radeon 8500 or 9000 or the GeForce4Ti. They cost less and are new cards that will actually run games.
