Rating: Summary: You CAN edit key timings, this board is awesome! Review: I own the tacticalboard and nostromo. Tacticalboard wins hands down. You CAN set the timings between keypresses to any value you want in milliseconds. I have one macro that executes 11 key presses in sequence. I have the timer between keys set to be slow enough that each keypress registers with the computer, yet all 11 execute in under a second. You can also set repeat rate of keys, set no repeat, and set keys work in combination with other keys or to always work independently (for instance, you can tell one key to be interpreted by itself even if another key is being held down, or you can have it work in combination with other keys). The reviewer that says you can't set timings must have not bothered to read the directions or help file. I have been using it to play a bard in everquest for 5 months now. It is the best input device I've ever used; the complete control over macros with the thrustmapper software is excellent. I also like it because the layout is more ergonomic imo, and there are many more keys than the nostromo. Only con - don't use the "shift" key that allows you to assign two different sets of fuctions to all keys - you'll get keys stuck in a loop if you do.
Rating: Summary: Tacticalboard? Review: The main problem is that time [between keys] cannot be edited. With long chains of keys one must be able to actually press the keys, a feat often impossible, and editing of time is not included. The Nostromo N50, while only ten keys, does support editing of time and seems to be faster.
