Summary: Works fine for six months
Review: The rudder fails after 6 months. Calibration does nothing to fix it. Wrote to technical support, and was told to update DirectX. My DirectX is the most updated one. They just didn't want to admit it's their fault.

Summary: My First Joystick
Review: This is my first joystick. I was sceptical about getting one because I always wanted to buy a game instead of some hardware. I recently bought Mechwarrior4 and decided to get a stick.

Wow! This is one cool stick. With so many other choices in this market I was lured by the sleek design and the price. The finisher was the fact that it has both USB and standard connection.... it was a great buy for my first stick. I highly reccommend it to all gamers

Summary: A very good stick for the average guy
Review: This is the 2nd joystick like this I have owned and it is more than adequate for what I need it for with Flight Sim gaming. My son in law has had this same stick for well over a year with excellent performance. It is a good joystick at a very fair price. When priced at "discount" retail outlets, it was 25-35% more. Bottom line, it's a good buy.

Summary: Second One to break....
Review: This is the second Logitech WingMan Extreme Digital 3D Joystick that I have owned. The first lasted over a year and then some of the wires inside just snapped (opened it up after failure of some buttons). Looks like they used very brittle thin wires in the construction. However, over a year with my 4yo using it wasn't too bad so I replaced it with another in June. It just failed after 4 months. While the feel of it was great, it's reliability is a serious drawback. No caibration issues here.

Summary: Logitech Wingman Extreme Digital 3D
Review: This joystick is a piece of technological art. It performed well for me in a variety of space SIMS and can be programmed for just about any game. It's eightway directional POV switch is great for switching angles of view. It also has a programmable throttle (all movements are programmable), but I do not use it. The only downside to this joystick is the software drivers. They are very buggy, even after I downloaded an update from Logitech. I would recommend this joystick to any gamer who does not need force feedback. The added flexibility of USB or serial is a bonus. Overall, it is a very good joystick.

Summary: SWEET!!!
Review: This joystick is great. The twisting handle is a HUGE plus. after a while it becomes 99.9% integrated with the rest of the actions resulting in flying skill ten times better then any joystick without it.

However...
The HAT swich is a little vague (it's hard to get the specific location) and the stick is a little too tall for someone with small hands (I have big hands so that isn't a problem).

Overall, i would make this choice again. i would give it 4 stars, but the twisting handle is a star in itself. there are plenty of buttons, and all the moving parts have very nice smooth operation. the base is plenty heavy enough and THE BUTTONS DON'T STICK!!!

This is a good choice. get it NOW.

Summary: Best joystick for the money
Review: This joystick is the best one out there for the money. It is very heavy and extremely rugged. The profiler software provided is also excellent and makes the setup for every game a breeze. It has a very comfortable handle, the only gripe is the POV hat which is a little uncomfortable to use for extended periods. I've tried a lot of joysticks in this price range and this one is without a doubt the best. Highly recommended!

Summary: Driver doesn't work for Windows ME
Review: This product works fine, but my version shipped with 3.25C driver. Apparently that doesn't work at all with Windows ME. They directed me to a website where the newest update (as of Dec 2000) Logitech WingMan Software (LWS) v3.62 is available.

Summary: Waste of Cash
Review: This Stick is a waste of cash! I ordered this stick from logitech's site then found it was on back order, so i canceled the order and got it at the mall. Had the stick less then 1 month when the rudder twitch began, about a week later my right roll capability went away fast! The profile uses way to much ram to have it open during game play. I beleive this stick has a defect being that i have heard from many people that have had the same issues with the stick. It was a "fair" stick while it lasted. Had a nice tight zero play feel to it, heavy base which is good for a joystick. Small foot print also which leaves room for your mouse and key board unlike the MS Sidewinder sticks. BTW avoid MS Sidewinder precision 2 also! In the end you get what you pay for which isnt much. I bought this stick thinking it would last at least 6 months as my last logitech stick did. Boy was i wrong! This stick goes bad in a very annoying way and there is nothing you can do but keep your receipt and return it or not buy it altogether! I myself will not be buying another!

Summary: Great Stick
Review: This stick is great for flying any flight simulators. It got out of being killed by the Nazis. It has all the right buttons just where you need them.
