Summary: The right price
Review: I got this pad because it was cheap, it had the four buttons that I needed, and it was ergonomic. My hands are always very comfortable holding this controller, even when I've been gaming for the last few hours. The directional pad is very unique. There is a circular attachment that fits in the bottom of the controller to give you a standard d-pad. You can take this attachment out and plug it in to the center of the d-pad, making the d-pad higher and more like a joystick (as shown in the picture of the controller). I play with it almost exclusively like this. I haven't been able to use the triggers in the current EA Sports games that I've been playing, so count on four buttons. If you are looking for more options (buttons) in your games, I highly recommend upgrading to the six-button Microsoft USB Sidewinder Pro.

Summary: Serious Gamers, Stay Clear!
Review: This gamepad is complete garbage. I bought it for my parents to use on their computer and am totally disappointed with it. My folks like to play lots of console type games on their PC, which is what these gamepads are supposed to be best at. But this controller has buttons that you have press really hard (even the directional pad) in order to ilicit a response. The operation is clunky, but the ergonomics make it feel wonderful in your hands. So if you get to touch one before you buy it (a la Best Buy), you'll be completely fooled by the great feel of it. If you want professional responsiveness from your gamepad, stick with Microsoft's Sidewinder series. Even the most basic Sidewinder is wonderful!

Summary: A Decent Game Pad
Review: This Saitek controller is certainly a solid gamepad. The directional controller is a bit awkward, but you can get used to it. The action buttons are also a bit too stiff -- This pad is a decent deal for ten bucks, but the Interact Piranha is an overall better design (and cheaper).

Summary: Great Action
Review: When using this game pad for fast action racing, the response is excellent. I like to use the thumb stick that's included for racing, but the only problem is that the stick can become loosened if it's not put in well enough. When I finally screwed it in a bit hard it finally stayed. I've had a lot of fun with it.
