Rating: Summary: Excellent on Flight Sims Review: It seems to me that buying the Precision Pro is way better than buying the Force Feedback for many reasons. 1:because it cost less. 2:The difference between the ff and pp is a few. it works great on flight sims so try it out
Rating: Summary: Good....for a while Review: Ok I recieved this joystick a year ago for FS2002 and it was awesome. I used it for Battlefield 1942 and FS for a long time. Then, 3 days ago, I plugged it in and got no response. The drivers on Microsofts page were for the problem but only worked for Windows 95 or 98. Thanks Microsoft. Moral is: If you want a joystick for a short period of time, buy it. If not, get the new logitech wireless. It is a P.O.S.
Rating: Summary: Microsoft sidewinder does not work ...... Review: Pay attention. Microsoft Sidewinder does not work ! Drivers are out off date, microsoft develops no new version for the sidewinder joystick. The sidewinder with gameport connector does not work under windows XP !
Maybe the USB version.
Lots off people on different forums tell the same !
And I heared more: under windows XP lots of microsoft game controllers dont work !
So inform Yourself
Rating: Summary: Saitek versus Precision Pro Review: Saitek and Precision Pro are equal for right handers, but Saitek is far better if you are left handed. I used the precision pro for one year and switched to Saitek because I am left handed.
Rating: Summary: Good value for Flight Sims Review: The "stiffness" of the joystick mentioned in another review is actually an _assett_ when you use this joystick for flight sims, giving you more positive control. Also the built in rudder and optical pots add precision to your flying experience.
Rating: Summary: Feels good, works good. Review: The feel of this joystick is solid. I can spend many hours playing games for the sole sake of holding the sidewinder. Force feedback is intense, aiming is excellent, and it makes games more fun. Finally, the layout of the buttons can't be better...perfect two handed action. Worth it!
Rating: Summary: ms v saitek Review: The Microsoft stick is good if you are right handed. The only problem is that the controls are fairly "loose" thus you tend to over control until you learn to be very gentle. Small movements bring large control changes. the Saitek Cyborg 3D is stiffer so easier to control. If you are left handed it is the Cyborg hands down. I did not have any random imput problems with the Cyborg J13 as were reported above.
Rating: Summary: Very good joystick. Review: This joystick is extremely useful if you play a lot of games. It isn't as fun without a joystick like this. It's very easy to use; good product.
Rating: Summary: Great for flying games, make that all games. Review: This joystick is great for all kinds of games particularly flight sims. I love its rudder controls. All you have to do is twist the stick left or right. It has tons of buttons, all fully programmable. If you want to buy a joystick, definetly purchase this one, don't get the force feedback, that stick is just plain annoying.
Rating: Summary: Best controller ever! Review: This joystick is the bomb! I got it for Christmas last year and have enjoyed it emminsly. Its handle rotated for easy controll in flight simulators and how it well it controlles your gladiator in Quake 3.... (Druells!) Get it today!!!
