Summary: Disappointed
Review: I had a lot of problems with this game pad. In using it, it was a little too sensitive. I tried adjusting it and just can't seem to get it just right. Too time consuming to figure out the right adjustments for each game you want to play. d

Summary: Nice Idea, bad result
Review: I love the feel of this thing. But yes, it is true that it wont callibrate well. I took the first one back and replaced it thinking it was defective. Unfortunately the next one was worse. The direction pad pulls to the left. You also have to download software from the Gravis site, and though this improves things somewhat, the D-PAD remains faulty.

Summary: poor quality, & died for no reason
Review: I've had this gamepad for only a few months, and it died all of a sudden for no apparent reason. My experience was similar to what another person posted.. at first, it stopped working occasionally, and I would have to reinstall drivers, etc., to get it to work again - so I thought it was a software problem. Now the light that comes on for the "precision" button no longer comes on, and it seems that there is some kind of physical problem with the circuits.. it's not even getting power. I've never dropped this gamepad, nor has it been used excessively, so I chalk it up to cheap components.
Also, when it *was* working, it didn't work well.. yes, it looks nice, and it's relatively comfortable, but I found it very difficult to calibrate - it needed to be recalibrated frequently, and sometimes, mid-game, the calibration would change suddenly, and could not be reset without resetting the computer first. Even when you did get the directional center assigned, it would waver back and forth, even though you weren't touching the pad. The software they included was worse than useless. Stay away from this one.

Summary: platforming or fighting games? forget it...
Review: if you're planning to use this controller with fighting games or platforming (such as mario or street fighter ii), forget this thing...it feels nice, looks nice, but the directional pad [is a peice of junk], no precision AT ALL...I couldn't even pull off a sheng long or a fireball until the 5th try (and i've been an SF junkie since 91) and i couldn't time my jumps correctly in super mario (been a mario junkie since 85!)

this would be ok for rpgs i guess...i'm about to return it and get a psx-usb adaptor.

Summary: Bon format , mauvaise qualité !

NHl 2002-2003 !
Prochaine manette ; Gravis éliminator , after shock (le modèle gris)

Summary: Durablity Stinks
Review: Maybe it's just me, but in about 1 or 2 months, the paint started coming off the joystick/pad with only the face of my thmb (no scratching). Also, about a week later, It just stopped. It died, no longer worked. I took it apart and nothing was loose. I think the circuts got messed up. Basically, if you are planning to do anything other than look at this gamepad, which isn't too pretty anway, don't purchase this (unless somebody pays you to do it)

Summary: Absolutely Horrible
Review: The D-Pad is horrible on this thing. I don't know if I got a defective product, but I can't get the controller to calibrate to a neutral position. Your best bet if you want a quality controller is to get one of those USB Playstation controller adapters and use a Playstation controller to play your games. In my opinion, the PS controller is the best controller ever made.

Summary: Disappointed
Review: The Gravis GamePad Pro was the first gamepad I gravitated towards after doing some major gaming-oriented computer upgrades. It looked cool, had plenty of support features, the Gravis name, and the unique D-pad feels like it would be perfect for all sorts of gaming.
Much of this is true. The software is excellent, all buttons are completely programmable to your needs, and it's easy to install. The downside comes with calibration. I calibrated in Windows and within specific games and the GamePad Pro could never achieve a satisfactory calibration. The cars in my racing games were all over the place, taking the fun factor to zero. Very frustrating.
I returned this controller and exchanged it for the far superior Microsoft Sidewinder Gamepad USB. This controller may fare better on some other types of games or other systems, but it was certainly not for me.

Summary: Lots of programmability, but control is scattershot

Summary: The next generation of Gamepads has arrived
Review: This gamepad is extremely easy to use and setup!! 10 customizable buttons makes transition from keyboard to Gamepad very easy with the Gravis software package. The precision option for the Gamepad makes aiming weapons extremely easy and more accurate. Overall worth the money for this item.
