Summary: Great speakers, not great controls
Review: I love these speakers. They produce great sound and are very impressive looking. They have the SST technology, which means that they are less than an inch thick. But, nevertheless, they are still wonderful. The only bad part are the controls. They are not well designed--especially the volume control. It cannot go very low. If you try to make the volume level too low, the speakers just turn off. It is really annoying. But, other than that, they are great!

Summary: EZ Setup BAD Sound
Review: Ok heres my boring story:
I got the top of the line computer and the "best" speakers aka boston speakers. I have had so many problems with the sound turning off for no reason, the speakers make weirdd noises from no where, and even though this system is easy to set up it is still hard to listen to those nice CDs of games without hearing a "slam" or a stop in the middle of a peacefull waterfall CD or in the middle of an online game of StarCraft. These Speakers are not the best i would go with another company not boston.

Summary: Great subwoofer + digital!!
Review: This speaker system is great! I saw my roommate has one, so when I got my new computer, I ordered it alone. It produces loud, sharp digital sounds sent from my Sound Blaster Live!, and the subwoofer is awesome in spite of its size and weight. It rocks my room!! When watching DVDs with DTS, such as U-571, the high-pitched sound sounded just like it was in theater, even better. The only thing I don't like is its cords and their plugs. Slightly touch of the plugs makes speaker noises. And the cords are too short, too. But overall, it's a great system. You'll love it!!

Summary: Good upgrade from basic computer speakers
Review: This system is a good upgrade if you have basic desktop computer speakers. The satellites have a fairly wide dispersion pattern so you don't need to be confined to sitting in a certain location. The subwoofer is very punchy without being too boomy. It adds great impact to video games and music. However, the satellites sound rather dull; you need to boost the treble on your OS's control panel. Also, when playing strictly piano music, the satellites can vibrate noticeably at certain frequencies. Also, the volume control is rather odd, instead of being continuously variable, the volume seems to increase in increments and there is too great a gap from the lowest setting to when the control shuts off the whole system.
