Summary: Phenomenal Sound
Review: Klipsch has put together an excellent package here and the sound quality is far better than anything in it's class. Though some people would never [spend this much]for computer speakers, these are worth every penny! If I had to find something negative about them it would have to be the extremely thin wires connecting the satellites to the sub woofer however, they can be replaced very easily. Let me assure you. One listen and you'll be hooked. This system is very attractive and extremely powerful. (400 watts) The sound clarity this system packs at any level is rivaled only by the 5.1 system. If its volume you want look no further. There's more volume than you'll EVER need and its crystal clear! Movies, Games and Music it's all good with Klipsch. These people really know what their doing!!!

Review: I've gone through three speaker upgrades over the past three months, and I've finally found a set that I love.Great features of the Promedia 2.1: fantastic 2-way 35 watt satellites with MicroTratrix horns; ported, efficient, 6.5" long-throw subwoofer rated down to 31hz, with an improved crossover point of 120hz. It also has both a headphone and auxillary jack (for plugging in a discman or mp3 player) on the right satellite. The 200 watt Klipsch 2.1's will fill even large rooms with huge sound. The subwoofer can supply huge, booming bass for games and DVDs, and also balanced, musical bass for music. The satellites, with their 3" long-throw drivers and separate tweeters, provide clear, accurate sound reproduction. A word of caution: your 128kbps-encoded mp3s will NOT sound very good, as these speakers will bring to light every pop and flaw of a compressed music file. Stick to CDs, and you will be in heaven. My minor gripes include the power switch on the back of the subwoofer and the thin speaker wiring. It is an inconvenience to have to bend over and shut the speakers off, and the speaker wire connection could be better. BOTTOM LINE: If you have no reservations about spending a little more on a set of 2.1 computer speakers, these should be your #1 choice.

Review: These are fantastic speakers. I think you can really judge a speaker at low volume. These are very crisp, clean, at low or high volume. I have not had them past 1/2 way, and that is righteous for Me. I also want to mention the Customer Support, it was also fantastic. On the phone friendly knowledgable, good people. Emails answered within 48 hours. Fed ex lost the wall brackets and they were replaced the day after FedEx admitted they were lost. I highly recommend this company. And know you will love these speakers for music and gaming. Enjoy

Review: With my new PC, I just had to go all out on speakers. My last set of speakers were both 2.1 Altec Lansing's. I wanted more power - and surround sound for the games. I went in search of the best speakers at the elctronic stores... all the other 5.1's were... alright. However, the Klipsch's were just unparalled. I read some of the other reviews on here before I got them, most bad reviews were in refrence to breakage. I advise this - be smart.. give them time to be broken in before you blow your ears out. I gave mine about 20 hours before I turned them up.. well, halfway anyway, that was as much as I could stand :) Even then, the clarity was amazing. The control tower allows center, front, and sub gain. Therefore, if you need the base handy or what have you, it's right there. I can't say how much I love this system. It also seems to throw the sound farther than I ever expected.. it penetrates the walls like a sledgehammer, so beware :)

Review: After laboring over all the reviews at Amazon.com, Epinions, and many of the premiere audiophile sites regarding 2.1 speaker systems, I cautiously made my purchase here at Amazon.com. It was an extemely difficult choice in which I endlessly poured over all the competitors, from Bose to CreativeLabs to Boston Acoustics. Nevermind the few naysayers, you just can't go wrong with the Klipsch ProMedia 2.1. And I do appreciate reading negative reviews as well as positive. In any case, not only are these speakers sophisticated and elegant to look at but they provide unbelievable sound clarity: high, lows and mid. They seemlessy integrate with your Mac or PC. The sound quality is just exceptional. Once I got them hooked-up and barely turned the volume and bass up lest I inadvertently tripped something up, I actually found myself giggling with delight and dancing around the room like a whirling dervish, I couldn't believe the clarity of sound, and power. Everything sounded so good, from Bach cello solos to the Pixies, From Sade to Woody Guthrie, From Coltrane to Led Zeppelin. These speakers are underpriced and a remarkable bargain. Bill Cosby has a term for this: Wonderfulness! That THX sound is great with DVDs too. Great sound quality at low levels and at the unbelievable earth-shaking Spinal Tap "11" these speakers can get up to--I honestly can't even handle the power these things have. Everyone will appreciate these speakers, whether you're into high fidelity or power or both, Klipsch has done their job very well with these. The speakers integrate well with iTunes and it's equalizer. No problems on my G4. ^ _ ^

Review: Being an audiophile, I highly recommend these speakers. I dunno why others whine about the sounding of this system, but as matter of fact I am listening to music from them right now and it just sounds gorgeous.These speakers are one of the few reasons I sit by my computer. Compared to others 2.1 systems, this one is the KING! Klipsch lives up to the hype, it didn't win the awards it did for nothing I guess. To get the best out of them, make sure you listen to high quality Mp3's and CD's, please dont make the speakers sound bad because the quality of your music sucks! Great Buy !

Summary: Great for music listeners!
Review: I just picked up a set of the Promedia 2.1 a few days ago, and they sound great! Prior to buying these, I was using another decent 2.1 system, but I felt that it lacked midrange (especially on male vocals) and an overall full sound. The Klipsch deliver on both. In comparing the two systems side by side in my room, the Klipsch are far superior in sound quality. Of course the Klipsch are a bit more money, but it is well worth it if you plan on listening to a lot of music. They create a nice sound stage, and vocals sound smooth. I'm using a Turtle Beach Santa Cruz soundcard (great card!). The sound quality on the speakers is also great at low volumes, which is where many lesser systems suffer. And of course, they will get as loud as you need but still remain "listenable." Gamers and heavy DVD watchers should consider saving up for the Promedia Ultra 5.1 (assuming you can afford it and have the space). I do have a few complaints. Like many other reviewers here, I am disappointed with the feeble wires from the satellites to the sub. A slight touch of the wires can cause the sound to crack or stop altogether. As someone else posted, Klipsch sells replacement Monster Cables on their website ($30 plus shipping). I may have to consider them. It would also have been nice to put the power switch on one of the satellites. All in all, these are terrific speakers. They are the most "musical" speakers I've heard. I would have given them five stars if it weren't for the few shortcomings I mentioned above.

Summary: Big sound from a small product
Review: I must say that when unpackaging the Klipsch 2.1 sats, I was unsure about how well they could preform. Having always used bookshelf and floorstanding speakers in the past, sats were new to me. After the sats I removed the sub. Note to all future buyers: the subwoofer is noticeably heavier than it looks! No complaints though. :-) I hooked these up to an MP3 player first. Being used to my current computer speakers, I turned the volume up a generous amount. Let me just say that the subwoofer shook everything in the room, and the sats were equally impressive. This system is great in any size room. The horns and mids have a near-field design, making them great where space could be tight, such as dorms. However, these speakers have no trouble filling large rooms with rich, powerful sound. The system is very well-balanced. Not only does the sub match the mids quite well, but the horns match the mids extremely well also. I will admit that as you turn up the main volume on the system, some static does creep in. However, raising the volume on the output source and lowering the speaker volume easily fixes this. In short: highly recommended.

Review: the speakers are awsome. i have had them for over a year and not 1 problem yet. they are almost as loud as my home theater system. there are two bad things about it. the wires from sub to sat are a bit to short. the power switch is on the sub. i dont even bother too turn my speakers off and no problems so the switch isnt realy a problem unless u are worried about your electrick bill

Review: My wife and I bought this system and hooked it up to a standard sony dvd player. We had tried a pioneer dvd player and a panasonic dvd player, neither of which left us with a satisfactory result (the pioneer was really bad). I gave it four stars because it doesn't have an equalizer (granted, it's supposed to be used on a computer) and there's no remote(same deal). But the sound is wonderful, even with classical music, which is a big deal. I listen mostly to jazz (keith jarrett, brad mehldau, branford marsalis, etc.), and it sounds great. Definitely worth the price.
