Summary: For this price, this is the best speaker ever!!!
Review: After I have been waiting for 2 weeks finally I got this speaker. I heard that boston-acoustics is really good in making crisp clear speakers system.. well it does!!. This BA4800 is the best speaker that I've ever heard for it's price even it doesn't have a digital output but the sound is still crisp and clear at every range also the sub rocks, solid,tight and powerful enough to shake everything very easily but not that powerful as klipsch 2.1 but hey.. I'm talking about the quality of the sound... I can only say " I LOVE THIS SPEAKER"...thanks BOSTON.

Review: After several days of research I finally purchased this set of speakers when they were on sale here .... What a [great buy]. From the reviews I've read, the only ones better than these are the Klipsh systems that cost hundreds more. They sound wonderful with my SB Live! card. The rear speaker stands were of no use in my room so I contacted Boston Acoustics about ordering a second set of small stands used for the front speakers. They sent them to me for FREE! The only thing that would make it perfect is a headphone jack somewhere.

Summary: Even w/o surround, they kick!
Review: I have the non-surround set - got them as an upgrade when I bought my PC. They are crisp, clean, and man, they crank! I have yet to turn them up louder than half-way. The subwoofer is very tight for PC speakers - not as tight as a high-end home system, but I'm extremely happy with it for PC use - not muddy at all like a lot of PC subwoofers.I use my PC speaker system to listen to MP3s while working and when I have the time, when gaming. Age of Empires II never sounded so good! :) I really enjoy this system, and I will definitely buy Boston speakers again (if needed - I plan on keeping this system as long as possible).

I took a chance anyway when Amazon dumped the price to [$$$], and I truly love them. I "upgraded" from some Polk home bookshelf speakers and a 60W NAD amplifier, and I think the Bostons actually have a fuller range and are just as crisp and easy to listen to for extended periods. Excellent! I personally don't want to watch DVDs so 4.1 sound works perfectly for me.

Summary: My my my, these are loud.
Review: In my search for satisfying computer speakers I searched around, originally I was going to go with the the new klipsch but while searching around on the... forums I saw a post about these speakers.So I did some research and listened to the klipsch speakers which are sweet speakers. In the end I decided to get the ba4800's in stead of the klipsch. I can verify that I was in no way dissapointed these speakers are way underpriced for the pure sound quality and volume that they put out. Their price is so awesome, comparetively they are...less than the klipsch and come oh so close to performing as good as the klipsch.

Review: Just got these speakers, and what can I say? They blow me away. Excellent sound quality (provided you play good mp3s), the 4 speaker mode has a way of accenting a bad sound file.
