Review: I am amazed at the sound quality of these speakers. I have them hooked up to a Turtle Beach Santa Cruz sound card and they absolutely crank! No distortion at high volume and they sound as good or better than a home theater based surround sound system. High quality enclosures and a sub that can shake the walls! Easy to use control allows quick audio adjusting for different applications. Buy these and you will not regret it.

Review: These are honestly the best speakers for the best price you will find anywhere on the Internet. The sub is so insane, I live in a dorm at UConn, and it can vibrate the whole room with ease. The speakers are so clear, the treble is amazing. Trust me buy these!!

Review: They're all of what you've read (except that one single star review who is either prevaricating or has a system problem). This speakers are great. The beautiful thing is their clarity; the mid-, and upper-ranges are acoustically precise so muddiness is avoided in this essential frequency range. Whether you're listening to music or video tracks you get clear information. Also, the subwoofer is accurate and doesn't detrimentally "mask" the other ranges. If it needs to be adjusted, they respond well to the internal operating system drivers in your sound suite. No audible buzzes or pops, ever. A great signal-to-noise ratio and a huge dynamic range considering these are for a desktop computer system. They could easily be used for a a large television media center. I use Vandersteen's in my sound system and like clear, uncluttered "true" reproduction. These do it and more for my computer desktop.

Review: I just ordered one of these for my brother. I'm getting more and more impressed by my own set of these speakers. I love how when you have the same thing running through both channels the sound locks and sounds like it's comming out of one huge speaker. A lot of times when I crank up my system to about the third notch and there's a lot of bass it will rattle pictures that are all the way accross the house. I love these speakers! My parents and neighbors hate them, though.

Review: I did my homework and went with the 621 system over Klipsch and the rest. The price was right and the quality is unbelievable. I wouldn't consider myself an audiophile, but I know when something sounds good and when it doesn't. The bass power is huge and literally vibrates the floor, the midrange is extremely clear and the highs are true. Voice sounds especially sweet - anything from opera to rock. I watched the battle intro to Saving Private Ryan and couldn't believe the difference from the speakers that came packaged with my computer - the explosions, the bullets, the surf, all of it incredibly realistic. They also look beautiful, which should count for something. It's true the subwoofer is as big as a computer, but this is an instance when size really does matter. Altec provides an auxiliary input to keep your stereo or VCR plugged in at all times. My only problem - which is the fault of my Vaio, not the speakers - is a rhythmic throbbing and static associated with internal computer functions, including moving the mouse. Altec tells you to turn your computer's volume down below 50% if there is static, but in this case it helped to do the reverse, oddly enough. All in all, big thumbs up.

Review: I am very impressed by these speakers. I'm amazed by the output of these little speakers. We cranked up these speakers until my friends gave the thumbs up which is louder then I'd ever put it and it was only turned up about half way. I also love the incredibly crisp yet full sound and how it still sounds realistic at extremely low levels. Great job Altec Lansing!

Review: These speakers are awesome. I just got mine in the mail last night, and i hooked them up to my Playstation2 and played NCAA 2003. I felt like i was in a stadium. at the price they are at now there is no way you can pass them up. These speakers have a great sound quality and are LOUD. i have not hooked them up to my computer yet but i cannot wait. GET THESE!!!

Summary: Huge, but amazing
Review: Subwoofer is easily bigger than my computer case, so it is a bit difficult to find room for. I only have 2 of the speakers hooked up right now (waiting to redo room to run speaker wire all over the place) and the sound is amazing. My only complaint is that they want 2 feet away from CPU, and 3 feet from monitor, but only give 6' of input cable. This is easily remedied by a quick trip to Radio Shack. I would recommend these to anyone who really enjoys their music and games. I already notice a huge difference over my 5 year old Altec 3 piece system.
