Summary: Best bang for your buck... and then some!
Review: I've had these for quite a few years now, bought them for around $50 or $60 at the time, and never once have they failed me. They're extremely powerful and loud... louder than you'll probably ever need. For the price, there are absolutely no better speakers out there. They're worth double or triple what they sell for now. They sound awesome with all types of music, which is very important. From techno to hard rock to classical, they're just that good. Everything sounds how it should, and I'm really picky. Get these and you won't be disappointed. I also hook them up to my TV for my Playstation 2 and it definitely gives everything a boost. The only thing I can complain about is that the cords between the two satellite speakers is slightly short, there's barely 4 feet or so between them I believe. Other than that, if you're thinking of getting these, don't hesitate.

Summary: Great value, no brainer add-on
Review: If you add a DSL connection to your system and listen to CDs or MP3s, this is a no brainer. Not sure if more expensive speakers would be worth the money, these sound fine and are plenty loud for my office!

Summary: Booooo
Review: My PC came with these and I dislike them. They messed up completely causing me to purchase Altec Lansing ADA70s. Buy those instead. They're the real bang for your buck.

Summary: Rich Sound
Review: Plug it into a walkman, a cheap dvd player's headset output, or any ghetto audio device for the best bass you will get for your dollar.

Summary: Hi Fidelity and Quality
Review: Sound reproduction in these speakers is the best one Ive heard. Since these are 3-way speakers, the quality of music is superb. Don't look for anything else, these speakers can go from your room to your living room. Good choice!!

Summary: Awesome speaker set!
Review: The Altec Lansing ACS33 Power Cube speaker system is a very nice solution to anyone's computer audio needs. I am a Flash developer and your common everyday music enthusiest so sound is very important to me in my work. These sleak sattelite speakers and sub-woofer deliver crisp, powerful, and LOUD sound. I can also say that they surprised me with the quality of sound they give while set on the lowest volume setting, while barely audible. I only have two minor gripes, however, that keep this product from 5-stars. Music highs sound a bit weak and syntehtic from the desktop speakers, while the sub-woofer is also a bit weak and has no level control of its own (which, in my eyes, is a major problem with most sub-woofers). While these short comings can be contained with a equalizer program, they really shouldn't have appeared at all. But aside from these very minor problems, this system shines as a lost cost system with a lot of power!

Summary: Amazing Clarity
Review: The speakers that came bundled with my PC sounded so bad that I thought the sound card was defective -- but the sound card is on the motherboard, so I decided to try these speakers instead. The difference is simply amazing! Not being a 'gamer, I did not want a 3-speaker system. The sound quality from the Altec-Lansing's are as good as my boom box -- for general PC sound use, you can't go wrong with these...

Summary: A great basic computer speaker
Review: These have never failed me, and play music and computer sounds just fine. They are easy to hook up, I recomend them.

Summary: Good Value
Review: These speakers are an excellent value. The only shortcomings are no treble controls and a noticeable hiss when turned up loudly. Otherwise, they're perfect--especially for less that $100.
