Summary: AWESOME SPEAKERS
Review: These speakers rock; they're awesome. And the design is fantastic and very classy; not cheaply made for the price. They match my HP 754N desktop and MX75 monitor. The sound is really great; I'm very happy. And buy these speakers at Amazon.com....Buy these; I'm sure you'll be delighted as I am.

Summary: Best for the buck
Review: i bought these speakers for my girlfriend for christmas over the internet (taking a chance not hearing them before). I ofcourse had to make sure that the speakers functioned correctly :) and found the cleanest, most crisp sounding speakers i have ever heard from computer speakers (under the $350 price range). In fact, I was so pleased with the performance of these speakers that i bought a pair for myself. Before buying these speakers (over the internt because none of the major retailers stocked them) and paying a hefty shipping & handeling fee of 26lbs., I checked around several local stores for computer speakers in the same price range. I found all other speakers in this price range to sound empty and not as crisp. The decision was easy. I love them!!!

Summary: Altec Lansing 621 speakers
Review: I recieved my Altec Lansing 621 speakers 2 days ago. The Box was really heavy, mostly due to the subwoofer which is enclosed in a solid wooden cabinet. I have read much about the specs of this product, but what I think matters is that how they really satisfy my taste. I am a serious music listner, endulged in classical music. I will not compare these speakers to my Bose 302 powered by quad preamp and power amplifier....price surely makes a difference in quality, but for that price range I am satisfied by the quality of sound they provide. All the highs are definetly there, the mid range is sweet and adequately ditailed and the bass very subtle. They can go very loud...more than anyone would require for a living room, but at extreme loudness I can notice some distortion, doesn't worry me because I will not use them at this ear damaging volume level. What is attractive is the natural sounding clean bass. I have heard other subwoofers that can produce spectacular distorted bass...but for the 621 the bass sounds natural and well defined shaking everything even the other rooms in the house. The speakers come with a wired remote control with a power button and 2 volume buttons. The only two disadvantages I have so far found are that the length of the remote cord (it should have been a bit longer...apparently they didn't put in mind the required slack) the other thing is that the volume is digitally controled by two buttons and you can't know at what level the speakers are set! As a whole, they are good value for money, provide a pleasurable sound experience for music and movies and will shake the house when you need them to do so.

Summary: Everyone will envy these babies!
Review: I recently got this speaker system for my dorm room. The installation was a piece of cake and I was ready to go in no time. The sub with this system is gigantic but its response to the beats is excellent. The remote is pretty good looking and is really easy to use. These things are LOUD ...i haven't turned the sound past the second light on the remote. The surround sound on this system is awesome and i was able to hear some sounds (in Need for speed Hot pursuit 2) that i had never noticed earlier.Watching movies on this system is a thrill! I watched "The Matrix" on it and was left agape. The thumping bass made the movie come to life and the clarity of the dialogues was sweet.
For playing games, especially the ones which use EAX...this system is the best! You can hear every single detail and its just mind blowing.Mp3's sound awesome and wanna make you listen to them again and again. These speakers can be hooked up to the PS2 which is also a great feature.People complain about the wired remote but its not that bad.You almost never need to move the remote and it also has a big extension wire in case you would ever need to take the remote around your room.
This system is reasonably priced (if you can find the right deal).People would often come to me and ask "Woah ,you must have spent a fortune on those things!" and I most gladly reply "Nope".Being a freshman right now,I am positive that i will not need to buy any other speakers before i graduate.I can't think of any reason not to buy this system except the big sub (which is kind of big for my cramped dorm room) but hey that's what gives the thump thump, BOOM BOOM!! I would higly recommend buying these SWEET speakers!

Summary: Sweet Sound at a Fair Price
Review: I was really happy with the Altec Lansing speakers I had from my last computer, but when I bought my notebook, it came with no speakers, and I wanted to replace the old speakers because of all of the MP3 and Internet music I listen to. I was really keen on those sexy little 2100 speakers, but after listening to them, I determined the 621 was worth the extra money. The speakers are pretty compact for the sound they deliver (though not as cool as the 2100), the sub is HUGE and gives plenty of bass, the remote is cool, but I'd rather see the controls on one of the speakers like my last set. Of course, with any speaker system, don't bother with the 5-piece system unless you plan to watch DVDs on your computer, music is only distributed in stereo.

Summary: Simply Amazing
Review: I had been using a simple 3 piece setup for years, but I decided to step up a notch and purchase some new speakers to feed my growing mp3 cravings. I was AMAZED. These speakers are stunning, the completely blew me away. The sound is great, the remote is great, the loudness is great. My neighbors begin complaining when I hit the second LED (our houses aren't connected at all either).

Review: I am extremely happy with these Altec Lansing 641 speakers. I bought them after Christmas for my computer but my wife loves them so much they are now hooked up to our DVD player. Looks like i am going to have to buy another set for my computer. Amazing bass... precise highs and mids. Cool remote. Very good craftsman ship! A no brainer!!!

Summary: Great deal for a Great Price
Review: I'm a big fan of hearing every detail in what I'm listening, especially, when it comes to first person/network video games and music. I had the ADA880 before these and they were great. I actually hosted 50+ people party with theses and they did the job. However, I wanted something more that 80 watts. I shopped around a couple of places. I tested the Klipsch and they were just a little bit better. However, the price difference was dramatically. Logitech had too many problems with their speakers blowing fuses or subwoofer problems. After reading up and getting these speakers for $$$$ including S&H. I saw no turning back. These speakers are made from quality products. You can tell by the frame that holds up the satellites and remote. The subwoofer is rather large, but can really make a room vibrate. I have a friend that has the Klipsch 4.1 and they do not look as nice as these. I also like the fact that it has a remote control. You can hook up all 4 speakers to the walls and have the remote on your desk. Then again, that's the only draw back I saw. Unlike the ada880, this unit carries a wired remote rather than a wireless remote. Some people noted a draw back with the highs and lows. 1st, if you have a good audio card you can maneuver around this issue. Furthermore, the remote control is rather simple to use. I also like the pre-programmed equalizer. Stereo/Stereo x2(Surround) & Gaming. It has all the features preset. If you are on a budget and want great sounding speakers made well, go with Altec Lansing. However, if you have the dough and basically want to pay more for the same go with Klipsch. I listened to U2's Achtung Baby and was surprised it picked up every layer of sound, especially the small compressed sounds. Go to different shops and tests all the speakers. Then check price. Chances are in sound they'll come second and in price first. I'll recommend these to anyone. ....

Summary: Wholy Cow this thing is LOUD!!
Review: From reading all the reviews on Amazon I figured this system was worth a shot. Especially for the price. To my delight the set did live up to all the hype. The quality is top grade and the sound is very crisp, deep, and LOUD!!!! I knew from all the comments that these speakers would put out some power but man this thing really cranks!! I didnt even have the base halfway up and my pics in my room were about to fall. Hook this baby up to a 5.1 sound card and you'll be good to go. Go for this system if you want powerful crisp sound at an affordable price. You wont regret it.
