Summary: Nice Quality 2.1 Sound, for the $$$$$
Review: I bought these to replace a set of Dell speakers that came with the computer(the dell speakers were generic, & were terrible)
I paid $65.99 almost 2 years ago for these so $29.00 is more than fair, for the quality of sound you get.,
The bass sound from the Sub-Woofer is full, deep, and has quite a punch, for the size.(I feel the vibrations off the wood floor, the it sits on.) It won't sound as anywhere as good on your desktop, but it is possible.
The left & right, speakers, are clear, even when you start to max them out, they never make those squeally, distortion, plastic vibrating noises I have heard from other brands.
I have used these with a Creative 128PCI
2.1 capable sound card.
Pros: Clear, crisp, hign-mids, & deep bass responce!
Cons: White(they get dirty fast)I have sanded, & painted mine, black to match my Tower, Monitor Keyboard, Etc,
If you are looking for a 2.1 sound solution, that will fill any small-mid sized room, with higher than average sound these are for you.

Summary: Want some cheap but effective 3d sound setup?
Review: I got a sounblaster live! xgamer and wanted to get a cheap pair of speakers to test out 3d sound - before deciding whether to invest in one of those fancy Cambridge soundworks 5.1 surround setups.This setup works! a couple of powered harmon kardon speakers behind me, subwoofer from this setup in the corner and the two satellites on the desk. Crisp, deep and booming and yes, 3d sound! Unreal Tournament will never be the same. G

Summary: Inexpensive doesn't always mean cheap.
Review: I got these speakers about a week ago and I am extremely happy with their peformance. For the price you can't really go wrong with these. The subwoofer puts out enough bass for my neighbors to complain. These are great little speakers.

Summary: Good Price/Performance Choice
Review: I had a similar problem to another reviewer who complained about speaker noise with these units. In fact, it turned out to be a problem with my sound card that I was able to fix in 20 minutes with a software upgrade that was posted on the manufacturers web site. My speakers now speak only when told too, and they sound good!

Summary: Replacement speakers still BUZZZZZZZING!@#$@!!%^!
Review: I had these speakers replaced because of the irritating buzzing sound emenating from the woofer. The replacement set still "buzzes" continuously. I have to turn them off when they're not in use so the sound doesn't drive me crazy. I'll just cut my losses and get something else. Don't buy these speakers!

Review: I just purchased these speakers and didn't have any of the problems 1 or 2 other people have mentioned, with the humming sounds coming from the speakers. They are nice and clear. The only thing that could have been better is that the subwoofer isn't very strong. If you're looking for thunderous bass, this isn't what you want. That's why the price is so low. But if you're looking for a nice addition to your current speakers, and for a decent price, this is great. It's really easy to set up.

Summary: nothing comparable in the price range
Review: I just received these speakers today and I am very pleased with them. There simply is nothing better in the price range. You could spend much more for desktop speakers and get quality equal to this. Don't waste your money on those awful sound blaster/cambridge speakers that you can get at Wal-Mart. For only about 5 bucks more you can get these, which are about 500 times better than those speakers. Only complaint is that the power light on the sub won't turn on, which is a minor complaint. So what are you waiting for? If you are in the market for some cheap desktop speakers, pick these up!
