Summary: Awesome Sub/Sat Speaker System!
Review: For under $50.00, you get an awesome sounding system that'll beat most other speakers twice the price! After plugging them in, I couldn't believe the sound! The only problems I encountered were as you move around the room, the bass levels seem to fluctuate - the separate volume control is not ergonomically friendly - should be built into one of the satellites. Overall, for the price, they're a GREAT value!

Summary: NICE PAIR!!
Review: Great bang for the buck. The sound is clear enough for me to abandon my boom box cd player for my computer's cd player. This is the way to go.

Summary: Makes Me Go BOOM!
Review: Here's the basics. These CSW's include: base subwoofer, 2 mini speakers, volume control, AC plug.

Base Subwoofer The subwoofer is WHOA!!! This subwoofer delivers/handles bass like no other system can. That's why It Makes Me Go BOOM! On the back of the sub, there is a knob to control the output level of bass, but if you're one of those kinds who love to blast your hip-hop in a large ambient area, and hate it when from a distance, you can only hear treble, then these speakers are most definitely for you.

2 mini speakers These, though not as well as the subwoofer, handle sound pretty well (though I am sure some other speakers can handle it a bit better). Together with the sub, these speakers, if set (manually) to optimal level, can give you 3D-like sound. Though I feel Cambridge could've made the speakers a bit better, you really get more than you pay for.

Volume Control The volume control switch is very convenient, unlike many speakers which have the volume knob on the speaker itself. The volume control has 2 wires, one which plugs into the base subwoofer, and the other which plugs into the output device. This is a very convenient feature due to its small size and simple operation.

Ease of Use This set is for anyone! Simply plug the L/R wires from each speaker into the 4 slots in the back of the sub, plug the volume control switch into your output source, the other into the sub. Plug the AC Adapter into the sub. Then...for a grand finale...press the On/Off button, and Voila! This speaker system is just like most other systems, easy to set-up, and easy to get started. A mini-con to this system is that there are a lot of wires due to the many plugs here and there, but they all have lots of wires, so it's not really too bad.

Functionality Like any other speaker system, they all perform the basic function of delivering sound from a source output. So, I'd say this set's functionality is done well!

Summary: Good, solid speakers
Review: I bought these for $40 to enhance the sound I'm getting out of my laptop. They did the job brilliantly - setup is easy, cables are of good length and the sound quality is sufficient. At loud volumes the sound does get ugly, but only at a VERY loud volume. The subwoofer is great - extends to the full bass range. This set is not the best buy for higher tones, but overall it's a good system - and look at the price...

Summary: No complaints
Review: I bought these for the price and really did get more than what I paid for. If you're shooting for looks, you won't get it. These speakers are ugly and i hate the external volume control...makes for too many wires running around if your like me and have ethernet cables and a bazillion extension cords already. As far as sound goes I thought they were far more than serviceable. If you really like to turn it up I would recommend something a little more powerful, but if you have them in a smaller room and such they'll do great. Great price, nice sound, ugly packaging, but a definite recommendation overall.

Summary: Great Bass
Review: I bought This Product from a retail store about two weeks ago, this very compact, high endurance subwoofer produces GREAT bass ( better than my altec lansing i paid over 100 dollars for ) and the satellite arrays are excellent. For The price, you cannot beat it.

Summary: Wow! What Incredible Sound!
Review: I can't believe the power in this little package. I am so impressed. I didn't believe that something could top my Altec Lansing Speaker System, but this blows the doors off of it. I recommend this little system to anyone.

Summary: Excellent "Value" Speakers
Review: I give these speakers my strongest endorsement. While the maxim "you get what you pay for" is generally true, I felt I got *way* more than my money's worth with these.

The sound quality is amazing, especially for the money. The set up is easy, and there is plenty of wire to put the speakers any reasonable distance from your computer.

Summary: Interference from Radio Station
Review: I had a problem with these speakers in that they picked up a radio broadcast that was clearly audible when there was no sound from the source and discernible when there was sound from the source. I spoke to customer service and they said they were aware of the problem in areas with significant radio presence, i.e. large markets. I was told to wrap aluminum foil or ferrite rings around the wires. I used the aluminum foil--the interference was diminished but still present. Also, I didn't like the design of the volume and power controls. The power switch is on the bass unit, which if put under the desk is hard to get to. Also, adjusting the volume caused static in the speakers. However, when the source overpowered the interference, the speakers do sound really good. I traded the speakers in for a Phillips pair that sound much better, are better designed, do not pick up any interference and only cost $10 more. If you live in a large market, definitely pay the money to upgrade to a better set.
