Summary: THERE IS NO BASS PROBLEM! GREAT SET++
Review: People were trying to fix "too much bass problem" with "position of the speakers" or it isolation with the towels....
I had exactly same situation... I was going crazy...finally after useless maneuvers I decided to upgrade my sound processing hardware ...I bought the Sound Blaster Live 24 bit sound card (before I had SoundMax onboard)
Now there is no more BASS PROBLEM & I am able to low bass level all the way down...sound is awesome
Plus a lot of useful software
Also I did not like the wooden panels of the satellite speakers.
I "painted" them with duct tape. Now it is silver set ;)

Summary: 2nd set thumps!!!!
Review: The first set sounded great, except for songs w/ a lot of bass. Left speaker rattled a little. Sent it back & got replacement set within 5 days. Awesome. 2nd set sounds great. Deserves 5 stars, but it gets a 4 due to the defective 1st set. A steal for $35 - $10 mir & free shipping. If this deal happens again, I'll buy some for next xmas for gifts.

Review: These speakers are awesome! If you are looking into buying these for only for your computer, think again. You can go to radio shack or a store similar to that and buy an adapter to put it in your tv. I didnt need the adapter because I have a satelite receiver, which comes with that adapter for surround sound. You can hear the thumping in the next room over, and this is at 1/4 the volume too! If your looking to get these for a tv, they are great, as well as the computer. They wont break that easily either, the base is heavy duty, and they are all metal. I just cant get over the great sound! Great price too, only $50!

Review: Upgrading your speakers are THE most positive step in getting better sound. I upgraded to these and not 5.1 surround due to the fact I am on my computer too much as it is. If you want good clean sound, get em' prices are dropping fast!Pros: good clean sound, great looks, small but VERY sturdy, great build quality. Part of the high-end Z series from logitech. rubber not foam surrounds for drivers. removable speaker covers (I leave off for looks) Not terribly expensive, buy online for better savings!!!! Cons: liked more power, but they are satillite speakers. no bass volume control on the remote, located on the back of the sub, no bass port on sub. Ummmmm..............not free? that is all I can think off. I was looking at the i-trigue to match the creative brand speaker with my creative brand Audigy 2 sound card, another nice speaker, but this was deeper.

Summary: pretty amazing for the price
Review: Well, I have had these speakers for about 4 months and I am pretty happy with their performance.
Use them with my laptop, TV, PS2 everything sounds great, and here's a gist of what I think of the overall performance
Pros:
- Sub is very powerful, can rock a small room like my bedroom, nothing like listening to thumping music in the morning :)
- sound is clear even at really high volumes
- bought them at an awesome price just 26$ worth every penny
Cons:
- the bass sometimes drowns out the satellites, and the bass adjust knob at the back of the sub doesn't help either; seriously logitech should have put a bass adjuster on the wired remote
- a small hiss at high volume, noticeable only when u r really close to the speakers no big deal
- speaker wire length is very small, cannot really place the satellites very far
- still awaiting my logitech 20$ rebate :(
overall, am pleased with the purchase would recommend it to anybody who is looking for an affordable 2.1 system for a dorm room/bedroom/computer speakers until you have the dough for moving to a more powerful home theatre speaker system e.g like the z-680's from logitech, cant wait to get hold of them and see if they really live upto the extraordinary reviews :)
