Review: THESE SPEAKERS SOUND GREAT. THERE ARE JUST THE RIGHT SIZE. YOU CAN BRING THEM TO FRIENDS AND IT IS VERY CONVIENIENT BECAUSE THEY ARE SMALL BUT THEY DELIVER INCREDBILE SOUND. ESPECIALLY FOR THE PRICE.THIS IS DEFINITLY A BEST BUY.

Summary: Decent speakers but they need a subwoofer
Review: These were the speakers which came with my p.c. when I purcased it in 2002, and they were okay. But the sound was definitely tinny, with not much bass coming from the bass. To really enhance the sound, I would strongly recommend adding the YAMAHA YST-SW015 subwoofer to your gear. It makes all the difference in the world. Amazon is offering this subwoofer at a very good price.

Review: We have the previous generation of these speakers (via Dell). They have good clear sound for their price and size. The earphone jack and controls are conveniently located. However, our first set started getting static after about 18 months. (I tested them using a CD player to rule out problems with the sound card before pronouncing them guilty.) They were replaced under warrantee and after 6 months, the right speaker of the new set has died. We normally don't use them at loud volume or anything that should cause undue stress. Percussive maintenance (smacking it) will bring an intermittent spark of sound. I'm trying Sony, LabTec, or Boston Acoustics next.

Summary: These speakers stink!
Review: When I first bought these things I noticed a nasty little buzzing noise, especially when I listned to my MP3's. It gets especially bad if I try and turn the sound up. It's a step up from my laptop's speakers, but not by much. I have a great pair of cambridge soundworks speakers at home and they've lasted me several years. These make me wish I had brought THOSE with me to college.
