Summary: Monsoon creates dream audio machines for the computer!!
Review: For all of you out there who is looking for a computer speaker system, and demands the same high quality of a home theater system, this is for you! I already have the 2 speaker set, which sounds amazing, so just think what the 5.1 surround sound will sound like. I've just recently checked it out and let me tell you, this speaker system operates like a dream! I even prefer it over the logitech speakers, becuase its clarity and blend was so much better than logitechs. It dosen't have quite as much bass, but is more than enough for your computer.the speakers blend very well, especially when listening to music. These are dream speakers! Get them!

Summary: Drenched in Sound
Review: great sound with no noise! The flat panel design works quite well. Handy movable control module. Very sturdy also, Ive knocked em on the floor a few times from about 3 feet. Only CONS i could think of would be the short cord on the module (keep it on the desk but the woofer has to be far enough away from the monitor so it doesnt cause magnetic distortion).

Summary: Audiophile sound for the PC desktop has come!
Review: I have been looking for a 5.1 surround sound system [reasonably priced] for quite some time. My search finally ended with the Monsoon MH-505 and Turtle Beach Santa Cruz system.

There is nothing in the pc environment that matches the musicality and clarity of this system. Just listening to this sytem will want to make you re-encode your entire MP3 collection so you can hear every little detail. DVD's come through loud and clear, and music is simply awe inspiring. I have not played games with this system, as I use it primarily for music and DVD. Be aware that this system does take some playing time for the speakers to be fully broken in.

Bassheads may find the bass a little lacking, but for most music and DVD's, the subwoofer puts out an adequate amount of sound. I'm very pleased.

Summary: Better than the Inspire series!
Review: I have owned the Creative Labs Inspire 4.1 series speakers and heard their 5.1 series and although they sound good these speakers sound even better....they sound GREAT! Very clean but not sterile (you audiophiles will know what I mean) it still has a way of retaining it's organic nature which sound and music should have. I also had difficulty detecting distortion or hiss, and if I did I attributed it to the original recording since some of the music I like to download is from the 60's & 70's, even then most of it was sparkling clean sounding.

The price was great (hint...gateway.com until amazon decides to carry it).

It also has very nice features such as the control allows for fading/focus/balance, mute, and has a headphone jack (features I like to have!).

It'a also a very cool system to look at with it's flat design, but you wouldn't be able to tell by the sound these babies produce. Go ahead! PUMP up the volume!

Summary: high clarity, needs better subwoofer
Review: I have this set and am happy with it. I have it hooked up to a USB2 Audigy 2 NX system. I can push the system to its limits. It is excellent if you want to listen to something like Norah Jones or Jimi Hendrix, but the bass from the subwoofer breaks down when you try to make it thump. I also occassionally notice some static in the speakers, but that may be more of a reflection of Microsoft's poor media player (v9.0).

Summary: Not your ordinary computer speaker
Review: I just bought this system 2 days ago and already I cannot keep myself from wanting to listen to music and watch movies on my computer. The sound quality is excellent as the satellites have both tweeters (the planar driver) and midrange drivers, and though the subwoofer is not "earthshaking" it provides more than ample power for a bedroom. They sound more like high-end stereo speakers than computer speakers that use single full-range drivers. The flat panel design is unmistakable and very very cool. Though the satellites are a bit on the large end, the sound quality more than makes up for the space it takes up, seriously. What I do not like about the design is that you cannot hang the speakers ...Also, there are no RCA inputs. In all, this is one investment that I will not regret!

Summary: Best computer speakers I've heard
Review: I must admit that the first time I heard Monsoon speakers in the computer store I knew that was the brand that I would have to have. After I purchased my speakers (after looking for a long time) I have to admit that I was disappointed in the quality. It seems that Monsoon has gone out of business or at least not made themselves available very eaisly for purchase. I noticed that some of my wires had been "taped" with electrical tape and I was suppose to have a new purchase! Being the type of shopper that hates to return anything (a merchants dream) I kept the sound system. The quality is not near anything that I was expecting for the price paid, around $225. If I had to do it all over again I would not purchase anything from Monsoon. Which is said because I think they could have been a good product if they would have kept up-to-date with quality and new tech.
