Summary: Even my wife thinks they're cool...
Review: I've been looking at inexpensive computer speakers for the last 7 months, but never found anything decent for under $80. After spending a few years as an audio engineer at a radio station, I have fairly high expectations for audio quality. My wife ("You have a speaker in that computer, don't you?") became tired of my whining and pointed toward my empty wallet.

Lucky for me my eventual purchase of the Logitech S-20 made me look like a thrifty genious. Wow, what great sound! The upper midrange (while slightly enhanced to my ears) is clear and distortion free. The subwoofer is solid, and the bass is clean. Don't expect to rock the house with these beauties, but do expect to feel really smart.

Summary: Great Bargain
Review: If you have a reasonably good sound card(SB Live Value would do) and your main purpose in having a sound system is listening to music CDs, MP3s and playing games then do not look any further. You will not get more bang for your buck than this.

The speakers look very pretty, the subwoofer is cleverly designed. I would have liked the bass control for the subwoofer on the remote or atleast on the front side of the sub itself. The bass comes out very nice. I can finally enjoy my Pink Floyd MP3s on the comp. And the sound is great for Pop as well. Britney Spears never sounded so good before on my comp. Cos my HP Pavillion was shipped with a sad set of speakers and worse sound card.

The remote has a headphone jack which is a nice addition. Not all the speakers have it. Now anytime when your roomie wants you to put on the headphones you do not have to bend your back under the desk to yank out the speaker jack and put in the headphone jack in the back of the CPU.

This speaker set combo is ideal for students in dorm, average gamer and pretty much everyone else who do not want to spend a bomb. For 40 odd bucks for the speakers and another 50 for Creative Value and under 100 and I have great sound with me.

Summary: Very good, but not perfect.
Review: Let me start off by stating that I approached these speakers as a bit of an audiophile. I run a Klipsch Promedia 5.1 series on my home computer, my son as a set of Creative Labs DTT 3500's on his, I own a $15K Harmon home theater system, and my car system out ranges all but professional systems. That said, I approached these speakers with much skepticism. I needed a small set of speakers to hook up to my PC at the office purely for music listening. I knew that the boss wouldn't appreciate me cluttering my desk with a large 5 speaker system, and I knew that my wife didn't want me spending any more money than I had to, so I settled on these after a short search.

The Pro's: In terms of sheer audio quality, this is probably the best 3 speaker system you can purchase in this price range. The satellites have a wide range and only suffer slight distortion at maximum volume. The bass is crisp and responsive, and the AMOUNT of it is quite impressive from such a small unit. I wasn't able to get the unit to clip at any volume level. The whole thing even looks slick :)

The Con's: Yes, there were a few problems as well. As has been pointed out by other reviewers, the bass control really should be on the mini remote. Crawling under my desk to adjust the bass response quickly grew annoying. There are also NO pads under the remote to give it any kind of grip to the desk, only smooth plastic. While this sounds like a minor annoyance, it complicates turning the speakers off because the remote slides away when you try to press the power button. A bit of double sided tape solved the problem for me, but Logitech should have addressed this problem before release. The final and LARGEST con is the noticeable loss of audio quality when using the headphone jack. I own a nice pair of Sony headphones, and the easy access to the headphone jack was a big factor in my decision to purchase these speakers. Unfortunatly, the audio seems to be flattened when listening through the remote jack. This isn't my imagination, I jacked my headphones straight into my soundcard, and then plugged it back into the speakers several times while listening to various types of audio in order to test the sound quality. The loss is VERY real and VERY noticeable, as it extends across the entire audio range.

All told, this is will go down as a good speaker system marred by a few easily preventable complaints. I recommend it highly to anyone who is looking for a good, low cost 3-piece computer speaker system for listening to music or playing games. Audiophiles will appreciate its well designed and tuned subwoofer cabinet, as well as its responsive satellites. However, headphone users would do well to find another model.

Summary: Speakers with style and sound
Review: Logitech Soundman speakers are one of the best speakers I've heard for the price they offer. They have rich, deep bass and clear sound from the satellites.. And, ofcourse no other computer speaker looks so stylish and yet compact for this sound quality.. Convenient features in S-20 as always in any logitech speaker includes volume and bass controls alongwith with headphone jacks all in a remote (thats a great new feature too!!).. In all S-20 offers very good sound in a sleek stylish package.. In case, u need high power output with more bass and theater like sound, one can go in for Soundman X2 speakers for a little bit of extra cash.. Its just the tradeoff between sound, money and an added attraction i.e. a remote feature in S-20..

Summary: Overpriced speakers with weak subwoofer.
Review: The other reviews sounded great for these speakers so I plunked down the money for these speakers. I was very disappointed. The bass is really WEAK!

Summary: Good value
Review: the sound is pretty good. the design is fancy. the only bad thing i observed is the connection is not so good. sometimes it's still on after i turn off it by pressing the button on remote. and everything (speakers, remote, pc) are connected to the subwoofer, which means, too many wires near your feet.

overall it's good. i'm happy with it.

Summary: Awesome Speakers!!!!
Review: These are amazing speakers for the price. Don't let the size of them fool you, they can bump! The sub woofer is small enough to conceal under your desk and stylish enough to put on top. Sound quality is amazing at eithr high or low levels. I highly recommend these!

Summary: Affordable Quality
Review: These speakers are the best computer speakers I have ever heard! They are the absolute best you can get for this price. The sound remains clean no matter how high you crank 'em. The bass is really good and never gets distorted, and the speakers sound wonderful! You will NOT find anything nearly as good as this below [this price]!
