Rating: Summary: Awesome Review: Bought them last year, I enjoy every second of it :)Nuff said :)
Rating: Summary: GREAT! Review: I picked this 3-piece speaker set at a store in Sydney for a mere AU$60. At this price, I didn't expect them to be anything special, but when I hooked it up to my PC I was amazed a the sound quality! The sattelite speakers were of suprisingly high quality and the subwoofer was great. Not the meatiest, but still excellent for rock and similar style music. Next, I hooked it up to my portable Panasonic CD player. THe sound wasn't as good, but still better than the player's inbuilt speakers! After that, the speakers had a date with the digital TV. Obviously the sound quality wasn't as good as the TV speakers- no surprises there- however still the speakers continued to pump out thumping beats. Finally, I hooked them up to, as the speakers were intended, a friend's game console (in this case, a Sega Dreamcast) The sound quality was AMAZING! The subwoofer gave off very little distortion and the satellites were still clear and crisp. As you can maybe tell, I am very impressed with these speakers. They are obviously not a replacement for a home theater system, but more than adequate for everyday use, especially for PC and game consoles. In conclusion, these speakers represent EXCELLENT value. If you see a set on special, don't hesitate to buy them!
Rating: Summary: Nice, cheap speakers Review: The Labtec Surge 17 is a good speaker set. The sound produced is very clear and doesn't distort, even at high volumes. They also come with a Y-cable making it easy to hook up to a video game console, vcr, or dvd player via standard RCA cables. However, they do leave something to be desired. First, the bass produced by the 4 inch driver is a little underwhelming. I have heard better from similarly price spearkers. Second, there is no headphone jack. Overall, a good set of speakers, but not perfect.

Rating: Summary: Excellent for the price Review: These little speakers most definitely have a great sound for the price. They are compact and easy to use. The only downfall is the lack of a headphone jack which makes it quite annoying when using them with a computer. However, for gaming (as they are intended) they are amazingly superior.
