Rating: Summary: I have these speakers and I LOVE them Review: A little while ago I was viewing some video clips on NBC and when the first one came on, it just about blew me away. It sounded just like I was in a movie theater. (Maybe because I usually keep the volume on the low side so I don't disturb my neighbors). The sub woofer is awesome in my opinion. To look at these little speakers, one would never ever suspect they could possibly produce such a quality sound. I'm extremely happy with my purchase and would recommend them to anyone.
Rating: Summary: Thud, thud, thud...Ugh!! Review: After reading 1000's of reviews on Amazon, I've never been compelled to write one myself - until now. Simply put, these speakers are terrible. I've had them for about a week now and they're definitely going back. Where to begin...Well, as my title suggests, the bass produces more of a thud sound than anything else. They're neither smooth nor in any way accurate, just thud, thud, thud. I tried various sub-woofer placements, EQ tweaks, and sub-woofer volume modulations. They're incapable of any sort of warmth or presence at all. For the record, I've owned an Altec Lansing 3.0 set up for about 4 years on my home computer - I believe the model# is 45.2. I can't believe how much better those speakers sound than these Logi-craps. In contrast to the smooth, transparent crossover with the A/L's, these LogiTechs are all high AND low, there's such huge lack of mid-range - I'm astonished. I even tried taking off the little grilles in an attempt to coax a little more improvement - nothing. Lastly, the on/off light is THAT bad - like a little laser beam to the eye. Please do yourself a favor and keep on shopping.
Rating: Summary: A Huge Improvement Review: Before I bought my Logitechs I had never had a speaker system with subwoofers. I had these JBL pro ones that came with my monitor. When I broke them changing rooms at college, I decided to go a little better than what I had before (but on a budget). I got these speakers and I have to say I am thrilled. The bass is absolutely amazing and fills the room at about 60% of top level, and though the mid range is a little bit hidden behind great highs and super bass, it's absolutely fixable by a little adjustment on the equalizer of Winamp or WMP or whatever your music player is. These speakers are a great, great buy. I absolutely recommend them.
Rating: Summary: Good Features & Great Value Review: Easy setup, great features (volume, power & headphone jack on right satellite speaker)and good sound for the money. Gaming sound will definately get your attention if you use these.
Rating: Summary: Beter Stereo Speakers Ive ever used Review: For the price you pay they sound like if they cost 3 times more. The sub has power to sell and the satelites sound grate. If I whent back I would buy them again with no dought.
Rating: Summary: Good Budget Speakers (emphasis on "Budget") Review: For the price, it is difficult to beat this set of speakers. Sure, Logitech is an unlikely contestant in this arena, but it easily beats any others near this set's low price. Right off the bat, you will notice that there is a power button, volume control knob and headphone jack on the right speaker. Some speakers in this price range inconveniently put the volume control and power button on the subwoofer (which is supposed to be placed out of sight and reach) and most lack a headphone jack. Incidentally, plugging in headphones automatically mutes the speakers - nice. That said, the sound quality, although better than similar-priced competitors, does have very significant shortcomings compared to speakers costing just a few dollars more. Most noticeably, the satellite speakers utilize a single cone each - thus the treble is slightly rolled off, giving a slightly "hollow" sound compared to systems which boast a seperate tweeter and midrange. Similarly, the bass unit, although impressive in its ability to pump out loud volumes, is also rolled off - the rating of 35Hz is too optimistic. My measurements show a more realistic rating of 50Hz, even after putting the subwoofer in a corner which should result in the most reinforcement of low frequencies. The subwoofer cabinet is made of wood, so what bass it does produce is tight and clean. If you can afford it, doubling your budget can buy satellites with seperate mid-range and tweeter drivers that will give significantly better sound. But for the penny-pincher, look no further.
Rating: Summary: Logitech Speakers Rock! Review: I bought these speakers after my old ones died. I don't have room for 4-5 speakers in my work space, but these do great and the size is perfect for my desktop!
Rating: Summary: Great speakers! Review: I bought these speakers when my old ones died out and i am glad my old ones did! I have a very bad soundcard(soundblaster pci) and the speakers still make awesome quality sounds! Just because these speakers I am going to purchase a new soundcard so it sounds better. I currently run my speakers on 1/4 sound and that is enough to make a lot of noise! These speakers are awesome buy them!!!!
Rating: Summary: Exceeded my expectations Review: I expected these speakers to be decent sounding for the price. When I hooked them up and took a listen, I was pleasantly surprised. The two small speakers sounded fine, they weren't what I would call spectacular but my music was crisp and clear so I can't complain. The subwoofer was what really blew me away. I actually had to turn it down because I was worried my neighbors in the apartment above me would complain. The bass is tight and powerful. These speakers also sound great when playing PC games. The only thing I would change is the volume control knob on the sub. It's on the back and it would be more convenient if it were on the front. All in all though you will definitely get your money's worth if you purchase these speakers.
Rating: Summary: Logitech speakers are awesome Review: I got these speakers for Father's day and they are awesome. They have a lot of bass and the volume of the bass is adjustable along with a volume to adjust all three speakers at the same time. I highly recommend them. I don't see how anything could be better for twice the money.
