Review: Bought as a gift for an audiophile. These speakers haven't any fine controls so on/ off and low to loud is all you get. Great for the tone deaf like me, but not for the refined in taste. lol

Summary: Wonderful performance
Review: Great speakers for the average home user. They get plenty loud for gaming and sound better than my stereo for playing music. Bass is adjustable but would have liked to see a headphone jack. I had a SB16 sound card and when the M3D turned on the effect was outstanding, sounded like a surround system. With a SB live card ( 4 channel) the M3D had no effect and I now leave it turned off. M3D is not really a feature w/ a higher end sound card. overall I am very pleased and they kick the ____ out of the 2 (OEM) speakers I was using.

Summary: For the money, some of the best speakers you can get
Review: I bought these for about $.. a few months ago. I'm quite happy with them. it's an even better bargain. The sound is pretty good, and There are a few negatives that people should know about, though:
1) Unless you have an audio source with both front and rear outputs, you won't get true surround sound. The "M3D" just ghosts the sound a bit on the rear speakers. If you put the rears right next to fronts, they'll sound fine. But if you're expecting a good surround sound package, get something else (and pay a lot more for it).
2) The midrange isn't quite as good as I would like; it can sometimes sound hollow
3) The sub volume control (separate from the main volume control, which is on the front right speaker) is on the rear of the enclosure. I like to adjust the sub volume regularly and it's a pain to have to reach around the enclosure to do so.True, this system doesn't look nearly as cool as the JBL Creatures, the HK Soundsticks, or those Monsoon flat panel speakers, but they cost a whole lot less and I think they sound far better. If you want something real nice, go for the Logitech z-680s (which has real surround decoders like Dolby Pro Logic II, Dolby Digital, and DTS) or the Klipisch ProMedia 5.1. But those cost at least $.... But if you want a solid system but can't afford one of those high end systems, you can't do better than these.

Summary: Very pleased, especially with the price
Review: I bought these refurbished off of amazon, and was skeptical at first. But when I listened to them I was amazed at what I heard! I'm into a big booming bass sound, and the sub did a great job. The speakers also sound good, its cool how they are padded with rubber on the bottom, so they wont slide around on your desk. These were a great buy and the quality is awesome! Definetly buy them, you can't beat the price!

The front speakers would occassionally stop working (only one at a time). Last week the front right speaker and the back speakers crapped out. The rear and left speakers are fine, but the front right speaker, which controls the system, was a pos; it refused to work repeatedly. I proceeded to send it back to hell from whence it came with a sledgehammer this morning when my new, hopefully reliable, speakers came in.

Summary: got some, love 'em
Review: I have a set of these speakers and totally Love them! I compared ALL of the speakers at my local computer mega-store. These speakers outpreformed all the other speakers that were under $100. I didn't want to spend a lot on speakers and didn't have to with this model. Now I see that Amazon has them at a better deal than I paid for them. And I bought them on sale too! I'm trying to substantiate a reason to buy another set at this great price, but so far haven't been able to rationalize it. Oh, one other thing, I have the 2 rear speaker mounted upside down on the ceiling. They're designed so you can position them a few different ways for your room's acoustics. -Edrick

Summary: ~~~ WARNING~~~
Review: I have been a music enthusiast since I was a tyke and these speakers sound INCREDIBLE 4 the first month u use them. Then, there is an internal rattle that u can not get 2 and it is overwhelming 2 the point u do not wanna listen 2 music. I got my first set and a month later the rattle,,,, I sent that set back for a fee, Logitech replaced them,, sounded great 4 about a month,, then the rattle again. I would love 2 be able 2 replace this sub with a quality one. While it works this thing is great. But after 2 of them,,, I know it will stop working not long after u have it. I would advise against these.

Summary: Very Good Speakers
Review: I just bought a new souped up computer and I couldn't stand the two speakers that came with it. I went looking around and I am very cheap and wanted to get surround sound on sale but I saw these speakeras at Staples for the highest price.... I instantly decided to buy these and I wouldn't want a different kind. These speaker swere easy to install. WITHIN FIVE MINUTES I HAD THESE SPEAKERS RUNNING!!!!!!!!!!! I would recomend these speakers to my friends and any person who wants to experience the ultimate desktop experience.

Review: I like these speakers alot. They are pretty loud and clear as can be. Nowhere near as good as the z560's but for the price they are unbeatable.
