Summary: good Sound, Good Price
Review: dont bother hearing it in the store, people come in and blow the speakers out while playing around i was discouraged by this, but once i decided to go ahead and purchase them i was impressed. except the fact that my computer needed to be equalized to work with it, the Satellites sound crisp and clean with the high volumes, the sub is heavy, a little too heavy though. i listen to Korn CDs first with it and the sub couldnt handle all the bass. but it is nice and LOUD. i must buy for a cheap system, unless you wanna spend 300$ for the next best thing. also, the sub is very BOOMY but handles bad with EXtremly heavy bass at peak volumes. at high volumes, the sound holds well unless there is ALOT of bass, dont buy if you like it to be quiet though, getting it to a low volume is hard to do, the volume control jumps up fast. the cords are easy to set up with too and includes an Audio RCA adapter as well. 7' cords are a few feet to short though. and the plug for the right speaker makes you go Huh?. the Power supply is as big as...... hmm.... a soda can i guess. but well woth the cash, it is actually a steal!

Summary: Not bad for the money
Review: For what they cost the sound isn't bad. I replaced an older Altec Lansing satellite/sub with these. Bass is kinda boomy and the sub doesn't hit the real low notes. If you want tight bass and want the low notes look for something with a sealed sub enclosure. Highs are crystal clear though. With a little tweaking with an EQ they sound pretty nice. I tired them with all kinds of music. They are not the best for hard rock or rap, but sound nice with most other music. The satellites do look real nice next to a black LCD monitor. If the bass was better these would get 5 stars, especially at this price point.

Review: I bought these speakers about a year and a half ago and was impressed by the great bass. However, the satellite speakers (despite all the adjustments I made) have always had a tinny and constant faint static sound. Just recently one of the satellite speakers stopped working altogether; these just aren't good quality speakers.

Review: I bought this and all the subwoofer would put out was a Thump sound for the bass-lines. No real tone, just a thump. I took it back for a logitech x220 and I am much happier.
This also has one other HUGE problem. When I opened the box there was a sticker on the subwoofer stating that there is no magnetic field protection around the unit. Don't set it near hard drives, disks, tapes, etc. That worried me and was the other reason I returned it.

Review: I have been installing, uninstalling etc. with those 4.1's. Nearly as good in games, and soo.. much easier.

Review: I have tried those in the RadioShack and it is wonderfull example of horrible sound. If you're expecting SOUND, just pass over.

Summary: Not Bad Speakers for the Price Range
Review: I recently purchased these speakers after much searching. Yes you can find better speakers if you want to pay double what these cost. No these are not meant to handle your favorite booty-bass mix CD at 1,000,000 decibels. They are however pretty powerful at 68 total watts. They seem to work great for me. I haven't had any trouble with distortion or muffled sound. Whether its music, games, DVDs these speakers are great as an addition to any home computer.
