Rating: Summary: good, but....the subwoofer doesn't work for me anymore Review: this worked perfect for 1 week, and i really mean perfect, after just 1 week of playing the subwoofer stopped working... and now i think i need to buy another one , maybe i was unlucky or somethin...but the subwoofer doesn't work for me anymore
Rating: Summary: Great Sound, Great Bass Review: Very Good Bass, it shaked my room like crazy. Installed with the Sound Blaster Audigy ZS on the P4 System, turned the wired remote to about 2-3 in order to feel the effect. 4 is a middle setting and worked very well for most applications,i.e DVD. 4 will rock your room. 1 sounded too low, 2-3 is decent setting for listening to TV.
Rating: Summary: Another good set from Logitech Review: Very good speakers, but I must agree with the others here with the comments about the control being hard to use, and feels kind-of cheap.
Decent bass, though due to the bandpass kind-of thuddy and when the cone is moving too much, you do notice a slightly louder thump sound.
Good treble and midrange responce, though compared to the 680s, they are slightly less clear.
I still recomend the 680s since right now you can get them for only about $100 more than these.
Still, Logitech has yet to disapoint me with these speakers
Rating: Summary: These blew me out of the water... Review: Well, what can I say.... I had a set of z530s.... they sucked. Just to put it blatently. Weak, annoying, and worked half the time. So, I decided to upgrade to these. They were advirtised as the cheapest available with no shipping or tax. I hooked these up, put them in my onboard sound on my motherboard and turned them on. I was blown away by the power of the woofer, and the speakers are not too shabby at all. I can get my house buzzing! These are soo sweet!!!
Rating: Summary: One word....... incredible Review: What a nice sounding system for games, music, or ?. Highs and lows are incredible. I have not heard better sound coming from a computer. The sub-woofer is rather big so it will take up some room but worth it. How would you like to play Battlefield 1942 and literally feel the tank when you drive it? This powerful sub-woofer makes that possible. I also bought a Z-220 Logitech for my office. If you don't have money for the Z-5300, I highly recommend the Z-220. Inexpensive and great sound.
Rating: Summary: Terrible - get the Klipsch 5.1 Ultra instead! Review: Yes, a 5.1 multimedia speaker system for this low price is too good to be true...you get what you pay for! How did this get to be THX certified? Each speaker sounds drastically different from the other, mostly in the high frequencies. The subwoofer is very boomy and can not be turned down enough to cross over to the satellites at an acceptable level. The boom can be only be attenuated by stuffing a pair of socks in the port! Audio on this system sounds like garbage. My little $30 Altec Lansings sound better than this crap.
If you want a decent 5.1 system, save up for the Klipsch 5.1 Ultra. Yes, it is more money, but it is worth it in the quality and sonic performance of the components. The sub is tight (no boominess here, folks) and can be set at a balanced level in relation to the satellites. And the sats have a much better audible frequency response...and they all match each other very closely. And go figure, this one doesn't have THX certification...hmmm.
