Rating: Summary: Tyan Trinity 1598s SystemBoard Review: Really a 4.5 star rating but NOT a choice in the ratings. I have used these boards for a number of systems (8-10). VIA has some quirks but This board seems to be solid and stable in most environments. It will support up to 550 K6 II or III CPUs and can address plenty of PC 100 memory. ATA66 is a bit slow for TODAYS standards but plenty fast for most users. I have as yet to hit on a bad board. If you are refurbishing or up grading an older (235-250 Watt power supply) ATX system and want to go to the motherboard level, this is one of the best choice boards out there. It has plenty of speed for all but the ardent gamers. If you need a system for Browsing, word processing, and the like this is a great base (though I would recommend locating a K6-II/III 450 or better to take advantage of this system board). You will find the features that have moved up on the newer boards here too, second USB header, etc.
