Summary: Great soloution
Review: In a word...PERFECT. Not for the picky audiofile (I occasionally get a little hum, not noticeable at normal volumes)but for those of us who just want to play our extensive MP3 collection and internet radio in other rooms in your house this is the answer. I've got mine fairly close, but the FM tuning is superb and I can finally entertain in my family room without having to load down the CD changer. Works flawlessly with my iMac and my Toshiba laptop. Would highly recommend to anyone looking to get more from their MP3 collection.

Summary: Works Flawlessly
Review: It was easy to set up & works flawlessly - no hissing, no static - really nice sound quality. I couldn't be happier.

Summary: Convenient and easy
Review: Just bought the SoundLink system to pipe streaming I-net radio into my living room. Setup is hassle free: plug the transformers for the two units into a power outlet (they also run on 4 AA cells, if you want to be mobile on either end), run the cinch cables into your stereo, the sound plug into your computer (and the transmitter also has a sound out to plug your computer sound into). Sound quality is great, like FM radio or audiotape, good enough for me since I'm not an audiophile. A neat unit.

Summary: sweet soundlink
Review: just got this little toy and it performs exactly as advertised. it takes about 3 minutes to set up and then you are listening to music from your computer.sound quality is good;at least as good as fm ,maybe better. probably not good enough for a serious audiophile. sound is best when receiver is plugged into stereo receiver rather than on fm broadcast. this is a quick, simple and inexpensive($40.00)way to get that music out of your computer and put some serious wattage behind it.

Summary: Easy to use, but not great sound.
Review: O.K., I have a real audiophile system (Linn with the exception of the receiver on the third floor and computer on the third floor) and the sound quality is acceptable (read "not great"). That means I am going to be somewhat critical about how this thing performs. The thing is that this allows me to get audio from my computer system and playback the playlists in proper order. My computer has at least 15k titles on a 120 GB hard drive and can do play lists that will play for several weeks (Imagine a Christmas carol playlist that will play from 1 December until 6 January without repeating and you get the idea). I can play the original CD if I want great quality on my main system, but what I want is something that will allow me to play music for a "soiree" without having to change the CD and sound something like what I want (read playing in playlist order). I could use my RioVolt 50, but that only plays for 10 hours and not in playlist order. This baby gives me something that will be good background music, but not something I would want to listen to critically. Also, the cost isn't outrageous (read iPod). This isn't great in that there are gaps and the sound quality is O.K., but it is really easy to set up (I should also mention that I am using the RF modulator feature--FM Antenna--, not the direct connect). You might find the sound to be really great if you have an inexpensive stereo or connect the receiver unit directly to your stereo, but all I want is some background music that will be drowned out by people talking. This does the trick very well and is incredibly easy to set up (took about 5 minutes with most of the effort being going upstairs). I'd give it five stars if the sound on the receiver unit was as good as the input, which goes directly to a stereo on the third floor).

Summary: Electronic Fan
Review: Product does not work as advertised. Don't waste your
money. Poor sound quality, interference prone, sometimes
just doesn't work.

Rating: 2 stars
Summary: poor workmanship and/or quality control
Review: purchased a few days ago. spectacular when working. have had an intermittent problem from day 1. originally thought it might be somehow power limiting for protection. unfortunately its an intermittency in the radio-link output circuitry..... great idea just needs to be more robust. do i send it back or junk it, after postage and hassle probably junk it :-/

Summary: Easy way to link your computer and stereo
Review: The product performs as promised. It installed easily. The Soundlink broadcasts to 88.3 FM on the stereo tuner and I have also plugged it into my multiroom amplifier so I can listen to internet radio around the house. After installation, use the scan button on the receiver to get the strongest signal, and adjust the volume contols on the computer to limit static. The only downside I see is the lack of a remote control, but I haven't found that to be a big problem.

Summary: Good performer, but....
Review: The US Robotics USR6003 SoundLink Wireless Audio Delivery System by 3Com, does perform as stated.

When I first bought the unit it was a horrible experience, lots of static.... nothing like the description or other reviews I read, I was very disappointed. I called the US Robotics Customer Service Department, which was very helpful, and when I described the problems I was having they suggested I returned it to Amazon.

The return went flawlessly, and Amazon did not charge me any fees for any step involved in the return process (my commendations, excellent Customer Relations!) When I got my new unit I tried it out and it worked as promised. Only problem I noticed is that I have experienced just a tiny bit of interference (white noise) barely audible; but then again I use high-end audiophile equipment (Bang & Olufsen).

I would rate this item 5 stars if it weren't for the bit of interference and the probable failure in quality control of US Robotics.
