Summary: Sound quality so poor I returned the product
Review: A previous reviewer stated that in an area with a high degree of RF interference performance was poor. I have to agree, I tried various settings, disconnected all wireless devices in my house and still had an audible hiss on all channels. My unit was installed at a distance of only 50ft between sending and receiving units. If they ever come out with a 2.4ghz version, performance might be better but I can't recommend this one.

Summary: Transmits static very well
Review: After tweaking every setting, trying all the channels, and even setting the units almost next to each other, I couldn't get a clear signal.

In the past I've used 900mhz phones here with no intereference problems. I figured that now having all 2.4 Ghz phones, that spectrum would be clear. In my basement, in my suburban home, this unit cannot get a clear signal from ten feet away due to unknown interference. The signal locks on, but only for two or three seconds, then static again. It is completely unusable.

Some people have apparently had good luck with these, but this is definitely a "buyer beware" item.

Summary: This thing Sucks
Review: As my title states, this thing REALLY sucks. I tried every channel, and pressed scan..and everything..and it wouldn't lock on to the signal. Even when it was 5 feet away in the same room. The only thing it would pick up was a bunch of junk, and other peoples phone conversations.

And what did come through was all distorted...

Summary: NEVER buy this...in fact..call up US Robotics and ask them why they made such a horrible product. I bought this because i've had good experiences with USR before....oh well.
Piece of junk.

Summary: Not a good product
Review: as somewhat of an early adopter, I took a flyer on the Soundlink 6003. Even with this product directly wired on both the transmitter & reciever ends. It produces at best POOR SOUND reproduction. I suspect that other (more positive) reviews written here may be living in more rural settings with less RF interference. at [the price] it's a low cost solution, frankly, I'm suprised U.S. Robotics would put there brand on this Klima design. for those willing to part with [more money] and a LAN pulled in the house the RIO Digital Audio Reciever may provide a better solution. as always let the buyer beware..

Summary: Hrm..
Review: compusa.com is selling these for 19.99. Same model number.
I just ordered it there. We'll see if it's the same thing.
Makes me suspicious of one of these companies.

Summary: Highly Recommended
Review: I agree with the above reviews. But, I would like to add the main feature that I found useful was you can place it next to your FM radio and receive the stations that way. This has the advantage of being able to use your FM radio's automatic turnoff feature.

Summary: Marginal Performance
Review: I bought the SoundLink in the hopes of eliminating a 15' audio cable that runs from my PC/Jukebox to the main amp in my stero system. Unfortunately, the level of background hiss/noise makes it unsuitable for anyone who has a reasonably good stereo system and/or listens to music with a wide dynamic range (such as jazz and classical). For louder music it's OK ... just keep the source volume cranked. But when the source is down, the hiss is unbearable.
I talked to tech support at USR and they admitted that nothing could be done. This product is probably more suited to hooking up a PC or MP3 player to a boombox than a regular stereo system.

Summary: Excellent product - Works very well
Review: I bought the usr 6003 ..., a bargain, and it works very well. The sound is good (FM quality) and the level of noise quite low (in fact lower than that of my sound card and FM radio). You probably won't notice any difference when listening to internet radios. Best results are obtained by carefully adjusting the volume of the audio source just below saturation and fine tuning the FM radio (88.1 or 88.3 MHz are not accurate values). A very good buy.

Summary: Make sure you get one that works!
Review: I bought this thing with high hopes, took it home and was VERY disappointed. It was very difficult to get a signal and I had to change the output of the sender for every song to get any signal lock but avoid saturation. I just assumed it was bad technology. Luckily there was an LED burned out on the receiver so I returned it for another, with little hope that much would improve outside of the LED. When I hooked the new one it worked PERFECTLY right out of the box. No fiddling with channels, no setting output levels, just a crisp clear stereo signal - no issues. Based on the first unit I would have rated 1 star, based on the second, a clear 5. Just make sure you get a good one.

Summary: Great product.
Review: I had purchased an FM transmitter product from another company, but was very disappointed by the annoying "hum" constantly heard. The SoundLink product works perfectly, with very little distortion and excellent sound reproduction. It is exactly what I wanted, and well worth the money. The only possible negative comment that I could make is that it uses 4 AAA batteries while not on the included AC adapter. I can see where they would drain quickly. AA batteries would probably have been better, but this is a minor complaint. I would highly recommend this product.
